Transportation, Traffic & Parking Department Notifications

This is the 3rd call - 06/28, 07/30 & today the police have called. Please fix RIGHT AWAY!!!

ISSUE: Street lamps are out, streets and cross streets btween Fitch and the Blvd are EXTREMELY dark

Multiple street lights/poles are out, person was not able to get pole number because intersection is dangerous

Yellow Speed hump warning and no parking for street sweeping sign knocked down needs to be put back up, it is dangerous because people are tripping over it

Also the other danger is that it is a speed bump warning sign which indicates to slow down.

When you turn right onto Brown Street near Wooster, there is a No Parking sign in front of a driveway. The 2nd driveway after this nearest 190 Wooster Street, should have another No Parking sign which was knocked down about 2 weeks ago. The sign is now gone.

Off of Eastern Street to Brewery Street post office down Long Wharf past the Hotel and Mobile gas station on same street (Long Wharf), there are about 7 traffic signals that are broken.

The person that called says it may be due to all the construction over the past year

Not Through Traffic sign is needed in this area

The speed limit sign is not working/broken

The traffic signal at the intersection of Sherman and Whalley is not working

This request has been put in multiple times over the past 3 years. The residents feel that this gets ignored and they don't know why. Drivers speed down this street and Barnes Ave. It is extremely dangerous as there are children, people walking their dogs etc.

The person that called (first name is Blanche) has personal experience from losing a loved one from an aggressive driver. All she is asking is that the request be honored

Does not change on South side

At least 5 - 8 minutes between signals changing which is causing major delays

The street sign for Pope Street is laying on the corner of Townsend Ave.

Water shoots out when it rains and is flooding the streets/is a major problem when raining. Shoots upwards according to Ms. Pappas (resident who called in today)

At 1772 Ellla Grasso Blvd, there are tons of cars parked all over the curb and it blocks the ability to walk on the sidewalk which is dangerous.

There is a hole 6 inches across and 18 inches deep at the intersection of Maple and Holburt near Edgewood park

Light is out/broken, VERY hard to see, VERY dark.. The customer that called says they pay for this light in their electric bill and it needs to be fixed RIGHT AWAY please

One traffic signal is not working and the other one is facing the wrong way/twisted/warped

This dis – functioning traffic light/signal at the intersection of Chapel & Franklin Street (s) is a Major safety issue. Here is what is happening:

Both lights turn red and/or green at the same time. Therefore traffic and pedestrian safety is a huge concern. The walk signal comes on at all four corners at the same time telling people to walk WHILE the lights are green and/or red!
