At 409 West Whittington street there is a underground 5 foot drain pipe and over that is a manhole cover. The pavement surrounding that manhole cover is is broken again. When it was repaired the last time the drive way was reconfigured in such a way that when I or my leaves or enter our driveway our cars scrape the front bumper. My car which is heavier than my wife's has had to have my bumper repaired twice. My request is that you (the city) repair the concrete around the manhole cover and repair the street access from our driveway so we are not dragging the bottom of cars across the driveway and causing more damage to our cars.

There are four cars parked on the West Whittington street between Bilbro and Ashe street. They have been there for months. I'm told that West Whittington street is a "through street" and hence a lot of traffic comes through there. As an aside, we have complained quite a lot about speeding on our street. The police to their credit did for a while made an afford to monitor the traffic. But back to our main concern. Those four cars are parked in close proximity to one another and pose a traffic and safety hazard. It would be a tragedy for speeders and congestion at that point to cause a major accident. So I'm requesting that you (the city) review and correct this issue.

In an easement behind my house (409 West Whittington St) utility company's have left cables and other type of refuse that had cause a dangerous and hazardous situation for the property owners in this area. I am requesting that the city access and require those company's responsible for causing this problem to clean it up. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter. My address is 409 West Whittington St. On the property behind mine at 608 Ireland St. vegetation (trees, shrubs) have grown across a city easement onto my property. I am asking that the city require the owner of that property remove that overgrowth. I fear there may be snakes and rodents also living among that overgrowth. Your assistance and followup with is greatly appreciated. Walter Pritchett - 336362-1160

May 21,2017: I have two concerns. First, on the back of my property the city has an easement that has been for years a problem. 1. Utilities have done work and left cables above ground. 2. 'There is a drain that gets blocked with debris and floods my yard. I have spoken with a city department but nothing has been done to correct the problems. Second, the yard on the opposite side of my property (across from the easement) has overgrown trees and bushes that cross over that easement and onto my property. I am requesting that all of my listed issues be addressed and resolved. I am also asking that a city employee contact me with progress reports in person and/or writing since I was told once before it have my problem and not the city's. Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter. Walter Pritchett, 336 362-1160.

Although we have had some snow this season, it appears that street repair has not been given a very high priority in south and eastern Greensboro. I'm particularly speaking about from Lee St. South, both major streets and residential. Some streets have had needed repairs but the work was shoddy at best. On most of those repairs after the initial work was done, there was no follow up to make sure those streets were completed to allow them to be made smooth enough not to be bumpy or cause car wheel to be knocked out of alignment, such as on West Whittington from Silver to Bilbro streets. On West Lee from Eugene to Aycock streets. There are potholes large enough or deep enough to cause flat tires or broken axles. I've been a victim of such a mishap. After the police investigated in my and one another victim the same day and in the same hour, we were told that it had been reported a number of times. But the repairs were inferior and the accidents continued to happen. It was our opinion that although in some cases when some of the repairs were done the work was so inferior that the streets were causing more incidents/accidents in a very short while. My question is why are our streets being "fixed in such a shoddy way or not at all in some cases?" Walter Pritchett, 336 362-1160
