    Buoy chain that separates the bird area from the remainder of Lake Merritt has broken, presumably during the storm last night.

    It needs to be repaired. In the photo, you can see it wrapping around the island rather than extending to the Lakeside Drive shore.

    311 assigns a location as Cleveland Heights - but technically this is in the east end of Lake Merritt. You will need a boat to do the repair.
