    A few weeks ago, the city excavated Glastonbury Rd on both edges from Runnymeade south for sewer pipe replacement. Currently, the road is left incomplete, with uneven gravel and rows of cones. When similar work was done on the south end of the street, temporary asphalt was placed atop to make the road usable. Is this still in the works?

    Left turn signal for NB Maple to WB Liberty periodically fails to “read” demand and will go multiple cycles without allowing the legal left turn. (Did it again this am.) Blinking yellow as installed at Stadium & Main would mitigate this problem some.

    The grass adjacent to the abandoned houses on the west side of S Maple, just south of Grace Church and Pauline has been neglected again. The extension between the sidewalk and street is overgrown again. (This is also true on the opposite side of the street, abutting Dicken Woods.

    The light at Stafium and S Seventh is running an extremely short (+/- 10 sec) green light cycle on EB Stadium, allowing perhaps 4 or 5 cars through. Traffic was backed up at off-peak time this afternoon.

    It’s lovely that other streets in the Dicken neighborhood are getting resurfaced. And a mystery that Glastonbury appears not to be in line for repair. The pavement has completely failed in many spots, especially between Weldon and Runnymeade.

    The programming on this light is maddening. It is not set to correspond to demand, and it often cycles through left turn signals when no one is in those lanes. Green cycles are sometimes exceedingly short - 10/15 seconds - so if a car is slow to start, only a few make it through. We’re all just polluting away unnecessarily.

    Walking on the sidewalk on the west side of the street feels like being on Safari. Grass is waist high or taller on property and in the extension opposite the now abandoned houses on the west side, just south of Pauline.

    Please either improve signage for the school zone in front of Pioneer H.S. and increase deterrent speed enforcement. The school zone speed limit is being broadly ignored, both in the morning and in the afternoon.

    This morning, the entire line of LED streetlights were out on the north side of Stadium, from Industrial, west over the Stadium Bridge. Additionally, some of the lights (almost every other one) were out on the south side of Stadium.
