Issue 7942999 requested the replacement of protected bollards on N Union St. The issue was closed when some bollards were re-installed, but there are not enough protective bollards in place to provide a protected bike lane.

The stretch between College St and Pearl street has a total of *six* bollards for a distance of nearly a quarter mile. Bollards are missing in other important places like intersections where conflicts are most likely.

This is currently the city's only protected bike lane. Please maintain it properly for cyclists' safety and stress level. Thank you.

There are two areas of deteriorated asphalt in the greenbelt. I think these used to be driveways that previously led to the mechanic shop, which was replaced and remediated to form the Archibald community garden. These old driveways are now adjacent to city property, and serve no purpose. Currently they are full of broken asphalt, broken glass, and other rubble. Please remediate and replace with green space. Thank you!

The current night-time lighting at the Integrated Arts Academy includes several high, bright, sideways-facing flood lights that glare directly into the windows our home and our neighbors'. The lighting design creates significant light pollution and does not follow the guidelines provided by the city: https://www.burlingtonvt.gov/sites/default/files/PZ/Design-Guides/DG-Lighting.pdf

I'm requesting that the lighting be re-designed to achieve safety, school use, and energy efficiency goals while reducing light pollution and glare onto houses. Please let me know how my neighbors and I can help and/or participate in a re-design process. Thank you!

The road closed sign at Walnut and Oak St is knocked over, and the sand bag is broken open making a mess on the street. I have replaced the sign a few times, but it the sign is not attached to the tripod, so it repeatedly falls off and the tripod falls over with no weight.

This is the second time the sand bag has been broken open. I hope it is not a vandalism issue. Perhaps there is a different type of weight you could try that won't break open and spill sand.

Thank you for your help! These signs make social distancing safer for my family.

DPW did some work near the end of Elmwood Ave at Dewey Park a few weeks ago (I think water related). Unfortunately, the patch left was sloppy and unfinished, and tore up a good section of the mural designed and installed by local artist Abby Manock in 2014. Half of the patch is now a loose pile of asphalt is soft enough to have bike tire tracks all over it.

Dewey Park is now a permanent part of the Burlington park system and our family enjoys using it almost every day. It would be fantastic if the entire asphalt area (previously Spring St) was replaced with green space. At the very least for the short term, please repair the patch with some care. Thank you!

The sand bag on the road closed sign at Walnut St and Oak St has been ripped open, making a mess on the street and causing the sign to fall over repeatedly in the wind. Please remove the sand + bag from the street and replace with a new one. Thank you!!

Gauthiers trash collection occurred at Integrated Arts Academy on Walnut St at 6:12 this morning. This is incredibly loud and in violation of the noise ordinance, in effect until 7am. I have spoken to Gauthiers several times and they have ensured me this won't happen again, but it continues to happen. They have also claimed to have a special permit to collect early for safety reasons at the school - DPW has not been able to produce this special permit for me, the school is now closed with no students, and I spoke to Principal Robinson who told me that even when the school is open no such safety issue exists and they can collect at a later hour when the noise ordinance is not in effect.

Please contact Gauthiers and tell them to wait until it is legal to collect trash at 7am. The police have told me it is not their responsibility to enforce this issue, and that it falls on DPW (who issues trash collection permits) and Code Enforcement. Thank you for your help.

    Hello,
Last summer the Parks Department crew installed a beautiful perennial pollinator garden just outside the fence of the Archibald Community Garden on Walnut St (north of Dot's). This garden had some damage after the DPW crew patched the sidewalk, and it is in need of weeding, mulch, and replanting for plants that did not make it over winter.

A neighbor and I cleared the asphalt left by DPW and started on the weeding. Maintenance from the Parks Department would be greatly appreciated here! Thank you!

As a biker, I have had several biker-driver conflicts on this unsafe section of Archibald street. As you head up the hill, the parking on the street makes the passage too narrow, and cars aggressively try to squeeze by as others are coming down the hill.
First: please remove parking from this section of Archibald. It is too narrow for on-street parking with the mixed use of bikes and cars.
Second: please add markings for bike lane, center line, etc. The street seems to be treated like a minor side street with no markings, but it gets heavy use. I believe this is slated as a bike laned street in the new BTV walk/bike plan.
    Thank you!

The bike lane on East Ave has been totally covered in dirt, gravel, etc. Not sure if the street was swept into the bike lane or if this is just from cars. In combination with all the sewers and potholes in the bike lane and the narrowness of the lane, this is really unsafe. Please sweep the bike lane! Thank you.

There are a few piles of trash along Elmwood between North St and Archibald. in order from south to north:
    - A mattress and some other trash at the Myers Furniture building on the sidewalk
    - A pickup truck cap and air conditioner on greenbelt. Possibly being stored there?
    - a few wooden pallets on greebelt
