    Traffic crossing San Pablo on 34th St must run the gauntlet of fast-moving traffic on San Pablo. Vehicles often get stuck in the middle of the intersection. Pedestrians crossing here are risking their lives. This would be a great spot for a large roundabout with yield signs, like the example at Piedmont and Channing in Berkeley.

    Traffic coming down Mandana towards Lakeshore frequently backs up here in the evenings. There's room here to put in a separate lane for traffic turning right onto Lakeshore, and another lane combining traffic heading straight into Crocker Highlands and that turning left onto Lakeshore.

    Cars turning across the crosswalk from Eastbound University onto northbound Oxford (as the vehicle to the right of this picture is) often don't yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk. More dangerous is for traffic (particularly bikes) heading westbound from campus onto University. I was nearly crushed by a cement truck today, while on my bike. I had the right of way and was following all traffic laws as the truck came barreling around the corner. A filter arrow is needed here before someone gets killed.
