    "Dear RIOC directors,

I am appalled that this elevator has been out of service for nearly a month now, with no apparent signs of progress. Can you please advise why it is taking so long, and more important, when it will be fixed or replaced?

    Thank you."

Main St New York, NY - Roosevelt Island

when exiting the north tram docking on RI and exiting right, by the first flower pot there is a vestigial steel stump from a removed signpost that both my son and fiance have both tripped over. It's sloppy and careless of whoever the contractor was, not to mention a safety and liability hazard.

I know RIOC is capable of getting the job done correctly as evidenced by the cleanly, flushly sheared signpost north of parking space #13 on the west side of the island.

  • RATS Đã lưu trữ
Tram Plaza New York, NY - Roosevelt Island

PLEASE CAN YOU DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE TRAMWAY PLAZA RATS?
YESTERDAY I SAW 15 RATS AGAIN, I THINK THERE'S A NOTE SAYING THAT SOME POISON APPLIED TO THE AREA, BUT I THINK THE RATS ARE LAUGHING ABOUT IT, WE TAKE THAT TRAM EVERYDAY ON OUR WAY TO ROOSEVELT ISLAND, THESE RATS ARE A HEALTH HAZARD FOR EVERYONE IN THE CITY,
IN ADDITION, THE NUMBER OF PIGEONS AND THE FOOD FOR PIGEONS AND PIGEONS DROPPINGS MAKE THIS PARK A VERY DISGUSTING PLACE,
WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE TO CONTROL THAT PEOPLE DO NOT FEED THE PIGEONS? MAYBE WITH A FINE?

I UNDERSTAND THERE'S PROBABLY SO MANY OTHER ISSUES IN YOUR PLATE,
BUT I THINK THAT A CLEAN CITY WITHOUT RATS IS A PRIORITY TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF DISEASE,

    PLEASE HELP,

Subject: Red bus tracking on app
    Hi,
Good morning. I'm contacting you because I have noticed that in several instances (and most of them at NON-rush hour and weekends) the red bus GPS have not been on and therefore imposiblen to track through the very helpful application "Bustime".

As I'm sure you well know, having the option of an estimated time of arrival of the red buses provides a lot of help when planning for a long walk to the subway.

If anything could be done to improve the reliability of this service and ensure bus drivers turn on their devices it would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks for your help,
    Antonieta

    Good morning,
Today on 1/7/12 at approx. 617am, I was picked up by a bus driver at the Octagon. He went down the 102 route & came back up to the 102 bus stop near my building. This was on bus 5, according to th number right near the entryway in the bus and on the outside of the front bus door

I was getting on the bus and the bus driver closed the door on my hand. He started to drive off as I was not even to my seat first.

So I said, 'Watch it there. That was my hand.' I didn't say it in a rude way either. He didn't say anything. No 'I'm sorry' or anything.

What makes matters worse is that I have an apparatus on my knee to help me walk. He didn't even lower the bus when I got on or when I got off.

I don't know what the deal is with some of your bus drivers but they need to be taught manners and how to deal with people.

Also, they need to be lowering the bus at all times for everyone, not just for the people who have wheelchairs or strollers. That is another thing that isn't occurring with the bus drivers across the board & I know they don't do it so that they can save time. They need to be putting safety first and most are not doing that.

Thanks for reading this and please let me know what occurs concerning this situation. I feel that this bus driver needs to be reprimanded & learn how to lower the bus & learn some manners.

    Take care.

I live at the octagon. I came downstairs at 8:28 this sat morning and the bus had already left. On tues I was waiting at the bus stop a full 2 minutes before it was supposed to leave and no bus. I own an iPhone, I think the time is accurate. Plus, I'm not the only one waiting, so I know it's not just me Please tell your bus drivers to wait till the scheduled time. Them leaving 2 minutes early means I arrive 15 minutes late to work.
    Thank you.
