  • Harrison & Grand Avenue Oakland, CA - Downtown
Turning left off of Grand to Harrison going around Lake Merritt, there is no marking restricting the inner lane to the leftmost lane in the turn, despite the traffic sign indicating that. Consequently, drivers are turning and flying into the next lane, causing near accidents, broadsides and general dangerous conditions on that turn. We need some lane markers or paint to clarify the lanes.
  • 411 Euclid Avenue Oakland, CA - Adams Point
As in the title, there is a massive pothole left in the middle of the street by some street workers. It had a solitary orange cone up until about three days ago - which in and of itself was already useless since the sides extend far beyond the cone that was there. It's about two weeks now that this pothole has been sitting here, its very deep, large and extremely dangerous - especially on this street which is poorly lit at night.
  • 391 Euclid Ave Oakland, CA - Adams Point
This large black tv cabinet has been sitting on the sidewalks for about two months now and needs to be removed. Its an eyesore and a blight to an otherwise junk-free neighborhood.
  • 125 14th Street Oakland, CA - Civic Center
The bike racks in front of the Oakland Public Library (Main) are installed in a place that is very hard to see from any location. Unless you are in the immediate area the racks are practically hidden - which is making them a very easy target for bicycle theft. Library security is unable to do anything about it since they cannot monitor the bicycle racks all day. Bicycles are being stolen or stripped multiple times per week.
  • Lakeside & Oak Oakland, CA - Oakland
The Lakeside / Oak Sign has arrows pointing in the direction of each respective street (which is split at this intersection) making some drivers think they can turn a right at the intersection when going East towards Lake Merritt. The No Right Turn sign is obscured by a bus stop sign which makes the situation even worse. People are frequently trying or even succeeding at turning right on Oak, causing frequent crashes, traffic problems, and hazards to pedestrians.
  • 14th & Oak Oakland, CA - Oakland

When driving East on 14th Street approaching the 14th & Oak / Lakeshore intersection, there is a bus stop sign that obscures the view of the No Right Turn sign. As a result, drivers seeing the right arrow on the Lakeshore & Oak sign think that means they can turn a right there. People are attempting or actually making the right turn there at least once a day. I have personally almost been ran over on a couple of occasions walking across the street.

    UPDATE 10/25/2012:

To date the issue has not been addressed. The City isn't spending resources to fix it because they think AC Transit should fix it; and AC Transit isn't fixing it because they think it is the City's responsibility Either one of them could do SOMETHING, but it seems like they are both being stubborn about it - WHILE PUTTING PEOPLE'S LIVES AT RISK. To date, it's been about 5 times that I have crossed the street at that corner, and had a vehicle whizz behind me going the wrong direction.. I have simply observed vehicles rolling around that corner going th wrong way tens of times. There has been a number of head on collisions due to this problem. Does someone have to finally DIE before this becomes important enough for someone to make a move???
