The importance of pedestrian safety at construction sites in New Haven appears to be dependent on where you walk. At the construction site on Broadway near York Street pedestrians are protected from vehicular traffic while pedestrians on Grand Avenue must step out into the lane of vehicular traffic to walk by the construction on that major thoroughfare. Who grants building permits that allow construction companies to block the sidewalk with no consideration of the pedestrians in front of a residential apartment complex? This is not right, Grand Avenue is wide enough to create a safe pedestrian walk-way if cars are not allowed to park across the street for the duration of the construction project that blocks the sidewalk. Make Grand Avenue at Farnam Courts safe for pedestrians.

Missing garbage can at Lewis st enterance to the park. There has been one here in the past.

Traffic sign on the south side of the intersection has been knocked down and is on the sidewalk.

Not sure but I belive that the only segment of sidewalk not shoveled on the south side of Audubon Street belongs to LAZ parking. See photo. Would someone else alert them about their responsibility?

This is not the first time I have seen this business use the pedestrian handicapped ramp as their curb cut to bring vehicles on and off their property, it is just the first time I had a camera to document it safely. Even if this is legal, is it appropriate?

This time don't let the RR Co. leave asphalt and other refuse on the side of the track when the make their repairs and modifications. The asphalt in the picture has been there for years. It would not be a bad idea to tell to haul it away with any other asphalt and contaminated dirt they dig up.

The cement on the bottom of the historic columns on Clinton Ave school is deteriorating. A simple fix now, much more complicated if allowed to continue.

Looks like trash bin left outside the strong school building resulted in someone dumping garbage in playground area. Trash bin cab be seen up in the fire escape on the right.
