Several shallow potholes on and leading up to the southbound Meade St bridge.
  • George Washington Memorial Pkwy Washington, VA - Arlington
The joint between the roadway and the bridge, including the metallic plate, has become uneven and bumpy (where it was smooth before), especially in the right lane. This is dangerous for motorcycles, as the roadway is curving at this point.

A couple of jarring potholes on the SB side of Troy St.
  • S Washington Blvd & Columbia Pike Arlington, VA 22204, USA - Foxcroft Heights

The light at the intersection of Columbia Pike and the exit from Washington Blvd SB, which already has a long wait time for traffic coming from the exit, sometimes skips green cycles — this can be seen when the pedestrian signal will count down to red and then turn green again.

If the light is triggered by the presence of a car, then it seems that it skips cycles when a motorcycle is present at the intersection.

Additionally, if the light is triggered by cars, then why the long wait cycle? It seems that one or the other would be sufficient, not a combination of both.

Jarring potholes at the bottom of the offramp from Route 50 to N Courthouse Rd make a difficult intersection even worse. The whole intersection was repaved last year, but these awful potholes were left to destroy suspensions, sitting just off the edge of the new pavement. What gives?
  • 200-298 14th St Nw Washington, DC 20229, USA - Downtown
Traffic Light Timing on 14th St between Thomas Cir and Independence Ave in off-peak hours is such that motorists have to drive 10 mph ABOVE speed limit to get green lights. Driving according to the speed limit results in a red light every other intersection or so. Also, the lights by the Reagan/ITC building are operational at night, when the offices are closed and no cars are exiting the parking lots. Please time lights so that they create smooth traffic flow at the speed limit instead of forcing drivers to either speed or waste time and gas by stopping at every other intersection.

Potholes that developed after the snowstorms of 2010 have been patched in a manner that leaves the road just as bumpy as if the potholes were still there. These patches are in the left lane of 50 WB where the onramp from the GWP merges onto 50. Please fix this properly; half-a*d fixes are as bad as no fix at all.
