    Traffic from Canyon Creek Parkway turning left to US-6 is hindered by short protected left turn signal. Once queued, it can take two or three cycles to get through. Cars will often run left red turns here, causing left turns from US-6 to Canyon Creek Parkway to be blocked for a short time. Long turn queues can extend past (40.1244375, -111.6420426), blocking a lane of westbound traffic from Market Place Drive to 1000 North.

    Due to the elevation change of Cut Bridge, cars turning left onto it from US 6 tend to slow down. If two cars go in succession on an unprotected flashing yellow, the first car slows down, causing the second car to be at risk of getting hit by northbound US 6 traffic since they are not clearing the intersection as fast as they thought they would. I’ve seen a number of close calls here. It may be beneficial to limit unprotected flashing left yellow arrows to less busy times of day.
