Well beyond the 72 hour limit for about the 100th time. As always, blocking the hydrant, extension cord across the sidewalk, etc.

There's a new trend occurring on Aquamarine Lane where people now are placing orange cones in front of their homes as if they own those areas of the public street.

The 2 biggest offenders are in front of 1002 Aquamarine and 1066 Aquamarine.

So either Parking Enforcement or the Police Dept need to stop by each of these homes and remind/notify these people that it's NOT their property. Because if you do move the cones they get very angry - and eventually this not going to end well for anybody.

In fact I've now noticed a few other homes on the street that are beginning to follow suit. All you need to do is walk down the street and see these cones staged and ready to go along the sidewalk area in front of OTHER homes as well (not just these two).

It's becoming a real problem and is only becoming worse w/ time, so something needs to be done about it.

So... here we are yet again.

Here are links to just the previous 2 times this was reported:

    https://seeclickfix.com/issues/12064516
    https://seeclickfix.com/issues/12537612

This time, it's been there a week - CLEARLY at this point they're fully aware of what is allowed and for exactly how long.

For those at home playing along, here's how the game works...

STEP 1 - wait until someone like me reports it to the city - usually at least a week, but as you saw from the first link, it was after a full year had elapsed.

STEP 2 - wait an additional 2 days (or longer) for someone from the city to respond and make contact.

STEP 3 - ask for additional time from the city to move it - and they'll grant you another week to move it even though you're allowed only 72 hours and you never requested the permit to begin with.

For those that are not aware - here's a link from the city of Corona's own website on the subject (scroll down to the section titled "Recreational Vehicles" - https://bit.ly/3DjtjoB

So... did they even bother to call in and even REQUEST the 72 hour permit? And then again for the additional days? Of course not - that's because the steps outlined above works quite well. But at some point the city needs to identify these serial abusers and fine them until they understand that the "3 STEP DANCE" no longer works and will no longer be tolerated. I highly doubt it, but miracles do happen I suppose...

Sadly, here we are once AGAIN...

Approx. 3 months ago I reported this same trailer after it sat here on Jadestone Lane for over a YEAR. After a lot of back and forth and a number of visits by the police dept. to the resident/owner AND me contacting Mayor Speake via email along with a follow-up phone call he was kind enough to make to me - it was eventually removed. But now it's BACK.

You can review that previous SCF ticket from 3 months ago here in order to get you up to speed...
    https://seeclickfix.com/issues/11949111

Clearly, Memorial Day has long since passed and obviously this resident is now FULLY aware of the need to get an RV permit which allows one to park their RV for up to 72 hours on a city street. So at this point, one can only assume that the owner is now choosing to flout the law - they know what they need to do and are clearly choosing not to.

Again, here's a link from the city of Corona's website for all to see (scroll down to the section titled "Recreational Vehicles"...
    https://bit.ly/3DjtjoB

And YES, I'm sure at this point everyone is well aware of Assembly Bill 2876 regarding the removal of vehicles. Trust me, I GET IT - I think we all get it. BUT there is in fact still a process involved - which again, is laid out on the City of Corona's own website (since it’s a PDF, you may have to copy & paste this link into your browser)...
    https://www.coronaca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/18667/637284347166300000

    ACTION ITEMS:
    1) Did the owner actually pull an RV permit this time?
    2) If not, why? They certainly know the process now - they were told just 3 months ago.
    3) If so, when? And why are we now well beyond the 72 hour limit? (It’s been there since Memorial Day)
    4) Do I need to contact Mayor Speake again?
    5) Why is the trailer within 15 feet of a fire hydrant? Measure it – you’ll see that it’s less than 10.
    6) Why is there a 110 volt extension cord draped over the public sidewalk?

Since the city is now fully aware of the last point above - it would certainly behoove the city to resolve THAT issue post-haste before - and IF - something were to occur as a result of it - as the city now has exposure. I don't believe it's a stretch to believe that lawyers would be lined up around the block to get a shot at suing the city into the Stone Age. This of course is a moot point since this RV shouldn’t be here in the first place.

Call me a Karen – I really don’t care. I will be like a hound dog on a pork chop when it comes to this specific situation now and going forward - and won't hesitate to get the Mayor involved yet again if need be - but I'm sure he has better things to do.

So no need to provide a phone number for me to contact to keep things on the DL (I've spoken to Ms. Marquez numerous times in the past), let's be transparent here just as you were before.

    Thank you.

  • 1028 Aquamarine Ln Corona, CA, 92882, USA - Corona
This street light located between 1028 & 1036 Aquamarine Ln (west side of the street) continually turns off and on from dusk until dawn. Like clockwork, every 2 minutes it turns off - and about 15 seconds later it will turn back on. It started doing this a few months ago.
  • 1245 Jadestone Ln Corona, CA, 92882, USA - Corona

This 30 foot trailer has been parked in front of 1245 Jadestone Ln for about a YEAR now.

    Since when is this allowed?

To make matters worse, it's also blocking a fire hydrant along with a 110 volt extension cord stretching across the public sidewalk.

OR is this a message that all residents of Corona with boats, trailers and motorhomes can now simply park them on the street for months at a time or even longer? Let me know, because I'll park mine in front of my house too and save a lot of money instead of storing it in a proper location.

  • Aquamarine Ln Corona, CA, 92882, USA - Corona

I submitted a ticket exactly 4 weeks ago (Issue ID: 8478710) regarding this same ongoing issue regarding the STREET SWEEPING on Aquamarine Lane - and the vendor (Clean Sweep) who clearly refuses to follow the POSTED HOURS in which this service is to be provided.

As you can see from the picture I've included, they allegedly were contacted the last time to ENSURE that they'd follow the posted street sweeping times.

Well, today, just like before - the sweeper went down one side of the street and within 5 minutes, came back down the opposite side of the street.

So once again... on the East side of the street, the NO PARKING hours are from 12:30pm and 4:30pm - and on the West side of the street the NO PARKING hours are from 7:30am to 12:30pm.

Today, he came down the West side of the street at 12:55pm - which is within the correct time range, BUT... he then came down the East side of the street 5 minutes later at 1:00pm, which is clearly NOT between the posted hours of 7:30am and 12:30pm.

*And just to be crystal clear, on his return trip at 1:00pm, he was diving in and out between cars to clean the curb - so it's NOT because he was simply driving back through on his way to some other street - just in case they attempt to offer that as an excuse.

  • Aquamarine Ln Corona, CA, 92882, USA - Corona

For years now, we've had POSTED NO PARKING on Thursdays for street sweeping.

One side of the street from 7:30am to 12:30pm and the OTHER side from 12:30pm to 4:30pm.

But for the last month, the street sweeping service (whoever you guys contract with) sweeps the "early side" (today at 11am) and IMMEDIATELY comes down the OPPOSITE side of the street - clearly NOT between 12:30pm and 4:30pm.

    WHY??

    A) The city no longer enforces parking violations - like posted "no parking".

    B) The street sweeper no longer follows the times listed on the signs.

So what is the sense have having the signs? -TAKE DOWN THE SIGNS!

Or does that make too much sense?

  • 1074 Aquamarine Ln Corona, CA, 92882, USA - Corona
The tree directly in front of 1074 Aquamarine Lane needs to be trimmed. It's now next to impossible to even walk down the sidewalk. Makes no sense that there was a crew trimming ALL the trees on that side of the street a few months ago, yet somehow this ONE tree was untouched.
  • 1694 Beryl Ln Corona, CA, 92882, USA - Corona

This house habitually leaves furniture and related items for weeks at a time in front of their house - and usually blocking the sidewalk.

For example, THIS couch has been there a solid MONTH now. Can't the city ADVISE them that they can't continue to do this on a regular basis?

As a matter of fact, if you Google that address and look at the street map, you'll see that there's another piece of furniture sitting there in front of their house - NOT a coincidence. Take a look for yourself... https://www.google.com/maps/place/1694+Beryl+Ln,+Corona,+CA+92882/@33.8714279,-117.601113,3a,75y,204.62h,87.54t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sODLnfjspzirvGf2epu9Z2g!2e0!7i16384!8i8192!4m5!3m4!1s0x80dcc88be1f1417f:0x3933b5be20abe1ed!8m2!3d33.8712683!4d-117.6012857

Because again, they do it ALL THE TIME. It's extra special since this is the very first house you see when entering the housing track - just lovely.

This tree is DEAD and needs to be removed. Currently there's a large branch hanging over the sidewalk and into my yard. this is certainly a safety hazard and needs attention ASAP.
    Thanks.

The WEST side was swept in the AM, but the EAST side was NOT in the PM.

The video doesn't lie. Not to mention all the trash still in the gutter.

  • 1045 Aquamarine Lane Corona, California - Corona
This one shopping cart keeps traveling from the houses up and down the street for the past week. It may NOT be at 1045 when they finally look for it, but it's in the general area.
  • Aquamarine Lane Corona, CA - Corona

No street sweeping today on Aquamarine Lane - or the week before in case you think I'm off on which week it's scheduled.

If the contractor disputes this, please provide the date and times each side of the street was serviced since they are allegedly monitored via GPS - the security video will tell the tale.

    Thanks.

  • Aquamarine Lane Corona California - Corona

Half the curbs do NOT get swept because the street sweeper won't get close to the side for fear of the limbs smashing into his cab. AND when walking down Aquamarine you have to do the limbo in order to not get you head buried in limbs and spider webs within.

If you're claiming this is a DUPLICATE REQUEST, then please provide a link the the ORIGINATING request.

    Thanks.
