    Still no new tree planted. The dying/dead tree was removed but not replaced as promised. We requested an Elm several times but no acknowledgement or confirmation on any new tree at our house location.

    Tree has now deteriorated to have fungus at base and on trunk. Brown spots have appeared through the bark indicating interior damage. Roots binding tree have been removed but irreparable damage is seen at base bark and through to cambium layer. Foliage ( whatever is left) is dying and falling to the ground. This tree is dying and must be replaced now to preserve the street landscape. IT WILL NOT SURVIVE!

    Cars parked illegally on city property. Now “lined” and numbered as if owned by renters/owners. This was brought up at Broad Street Traffic presentation as illegal and dangerous parking- obscuring views at dangerous intersection. Line painting on City property is illegal and represents escalation of terrible aesthetics in the McIntire Historic district.

    Truck traffic on Broad is rampant and is a danger to safety and property. Speeding trucks, including tractor trailers, are scaring residents, vibrating our foundations as the rumble by, and coming close to park cars. At the high rate of speed they will not be able to stop in time at cross walks ( they ignore pedestrians) and turning traffic from side streets. No Trucks signs are posted at each entry to Broad yet trucks are increasingly cutting through our neighborhood. The travel with impunity as there is zero enforcement and are embolden by the lack of ticketing/warnings. Are neighbors are fed up with the ignoring of this issue and demand action by the City. Adding large truck traffic to the constant speeding of cars is just too much to tolerate.

    This tree is in its forth year of decline. The roots are encircling the trunk at its base, its flare is buried, it has suffered several years of Winter Moth damage, and a gas leak has robbed its roots of oxygen. it was icorrectly planted and is now clearly dying. Please remove it so a new tree can thrive in its place. The tree next to it, planted at the same time, is also severely declining.
