going out on a limb here, I will guess that this is not someone taking their family garage to the certified dump site, nor are they a licensed removal contractor with workers comp and business insurance. Just Guessing - but this may be an ID of a vehicle that is about to dump a load near Peamain and whatever. Anyone out there to run the plate and check into this? Who knows? CA plate is prominent and easily readable.

Behold. Yet another farm of sofas sprouting from the disrespect of variance cretans who have no respect for our City or fellow citizens. Sadly, they know they can do this with impunity - but se la vie - prevention is not yet part of the conversation. Why would a City of Oakland DPW Patrol not notice this and being proactive and just handle this? Oh, because there are no such patrols, got it. It is an election year - what do the candidates say? ASK THEM!

A 'Sofa Tree' is growing up a utility pole, other sofas in abundance, debris everywhere, this delightful site has everything, plastic dolls, toxic chemicals, shopping carts. What could be better? I guess it is on a side street, and why would a City of Oakland Patrol notice this by being proactive. Oh, because there are no patrols, got it.

Vector Control needed for dead deer,RIP last night - 5-30-2014 - flies on the remains...children playing in vicinity...

My question is how long will it take for this to be picked up in Montclair?

I ask because when we had a dead dog near our shop in East Oakland, it took about a month and a lot of pressure to get that handled (plus the toxic chemicals and other goodies)

I am including the string on this location - which is a regular dump stop near "Mount Pearmain" as I call it - also still a mound as it always is.

What I really want to know is WHY the City TWICE robo-signed this matter closed when in fact that was false statement

Of course I also want to know WHY the City will not do anything other than Robo-sign See Click Fix - Why cannot the City join the conversation with the Citizens that you get paid handsomely to serve? I just do not get this Firewall around the Communication = There must be someone that is authorized to tell the truth and so state if this is simply a defective policy. It comes off as hubris - and therefore, does not help the "Brand Oakland" problem that is suffering the #fail related to this matter.

    Description

The conditions on greater Pearmain have been continuously shocking ever sense we moved our business here nearly two years ago,. It seems unabated in any form; wet garbage in the street now, rat fests coming soon; why do the business along this street not stand up on this? Perhaps it is time that we start realizing this is not going to change and the City is either incapable or unwilling to resolve the blight in this area? There are other places to move our business to, albeit we do not want to - but the conditions here are DEPLORABLE, like something you would expect in Somalia or a lawless state - and no amount speeches by politicians make up for the failure3to resolve this. SHAME on those who do this; but shame on the City for not attacking this with the determination that it requires to resolve this. This is unsanitary and unsafe and could spread disease.

Here is my updated photo set on this ongoing tragedy - Is it Somalia or is it Oakland?

PS no offense intended to Somalia per se, perhaps 'war zone' would be a more apt metaphor - either way I think those of us that work and live in this area have had enough, and must I think truly demand that the City take action and resolve this.

Curious - Why is the City only capable of making "form-acknowledged" comments on this site? It would be so much more respectful and effective if the City would engage the citizens in a conversation - that is at the heart of open and transparent Government; the impersonal "keystroke only" responses just don't cut it.

This pile was still there as of yesterday at 4:00 pm 12-13-2013 - WHY would [y]ou close this ticket if you have not verified the problem was abated?

How shocking is it that the City, "Robo-signed" this mess COMPLETED, while yet in truth, they cleaned AROUND the dead dog and toxic chemicals? The facts in evidence on this block of Stone are worthy of national disgrace for the city and whomever is choosing to ignore this.

Is this really the best the City can do?
What can I possibly say I have not already?

We are now resigned in our SOP to warning ALL CLIENTS about this tragedy they visit. This is utterly shameful.

Location: South side of Stone just before intersection with San Leandro - you cannot miss it unless you are blind!

When you collected the mound across the street and I guess the sofas ( assuming you got those_ you apparently did not notice, or chose intentionally not to pick up these several large tires leaning on the fence here. Can you explain why? Did not not see them? These tires have been there well over a month now.

I am increasing confused about the operations by the City, as this picture was taken the day they officially CLOSED the file on this report - I don't know about you, but between the dead rotting dog and the toxic paint and busted glass everywhere I don't think would past muster - and, if this was the clean up standard in Montclair the Hills would be metaphorically on fire. Do we need to accept that there is one standard for East Oakland and one for the wealthy areas in the Hills? Yes / No answer please. Your thoughts?

Wondering how often a clean up crew passes this couch but choose not to pick it up? They actually picked up some of this, but apparently worked around this item - Please explain why a crew would do that as this costs the taxpayers MORE MONEY due to the inefficiency.

The signs in the area state there are street sweeping, at least you can be ticked for this - however you would not know it looking at this array that has been here for months. Someone is apparently living in the RV as well - do they drive AROUND the trash? Who knows? Original wet garbage as well so have to assume that vermin are enjoying this food source as well.

What message are the business owners and citizens in this area suppose to conclude from this?

This is panorama of the typical array that is more or less a fixture of this location, and here and there and everywhere in on Pearmain and its spur streets or the entire area. This area does not need citizens to spot these area for the City - I presume the City is not blind. It needs the City to instead step up and make this a regular patrol area- any given day, and if you are lucky and duly authorized, catch someone in the act as the DA has stated they will prosecute. This area may be poor and I am sure it would be resolved if this was in Temescal, Montclair, or Jack London, hate to say it, but it seems clear East Oakland gets the short stick here; but our community here has had enough and deserves more. Please City of Oakland: JUST DO IT! DO IT NOW! MAKE THIS A PATROL

Example of the chronic dumping in this area - BART right away and City streets: tires, plastic furniture and debris are everywhere. BART also needs to repair this fence for security reasons. Enough is enough.
