Steel plates and debris (large rocks and hunks of concrete need to be removed as the street has already been paved I expect City of Dunwoody to coordinate this with DeKalb and not me )

DeKalb Water made repairs to water line in street on Sunday September 12th They filled hole with gravel and no plate Rocks and dirt are everywhere damaging cars and making it dangerous to walk on sidewalk (hundred kids walk by here to Dunwoody High) This needs to be paved ASAP ,

There are numerous sections of the sidewalk that are cracked and uneven, stretching along Vanderlyn Dr. from Dunwoody High school all the way to Vanderlyn Elementary School. I counted at least 7 sections that need to be busted up and replaced. Please send a crew to mark and repair segments along that entire stretch of sidewalk. Thank you.

During the construction of the intersection at Mt Vernon and Vermack Rd, a passable sidewalk is supposed to be maintained, primarily for the high school students to walk from St. Luke's to DHS. This morning both a tractor and a car were parked in the middle of the sidewalk forcing students to walk in the street. Please address this with the contractors as this is a constant issue!
  • 5106 Vermack Rd Atlanta, GA, 30338, USA - Dunwoody
A dump truck delivering rocks to the construction at the intersection of Vermack and Mt Vernon dumped part of their load in the road. The rocks are quite a way south of the construction site. The rocks are littering the road at the intersection of Corners and Vermack. Please clean this up as it is a hazard to motorists as well as people walking on the sidewalk.

The construction company is NOT doing a good job of maintaining a working sidewalk near the intersection of Mt Vernon and Vermack Rd. I need to remind you that there are many students that park at St. Luke's Presbyterian Church and use the sidewalk to walk down to Dunwoody High. The sidewalk on the Vermack side is covered in dirt, rocks, grass, etc. and is dangerous to walk on. Construction crew should ensure this is swept off and maintained in good working order at ALL times.

Signal timing at this and nearby intersections is not right. Only 5 cars are getting through before Ashford-Dunwoody Rd north is full due to backup.
  • 1980 Mt Vernon Rd Dunwoody, GA 30338, USA - Dunwoody
Traffic lights cannot be disabled during rush hour. Traffic backed up all the way to Perimeter Mall!
  • 1631 Mount Vernon Road Dunwoody, Georgia - Dunwoody
Eastbound lane of Mt. Vernon has large sections of crumbing and broken pavement due to uneven settling of new sewer lines underneath roadway. Evidence can be seen between Chamblee-Dunwoody Rd and Wickford Way.
  • 1877-1899 Vanderlyn Drive Dunwoody, Georgia - Dunwoody
There is a Roadway semi truck parked on Vanderlyn Dr impeding the paving of Vanderlyn Dr. Not sure who it belongs to (my guess is DeKalb County Schools). Someone needs to check with Vanderlyn school so they can get it moved ASAP.

A 90 second wait time is way too common for traffic on Ashford Center Pkwy waiting to turn left onto Ashford-Dunwoody Rd. Once it does turn green, only 5-6 cars (in each turn lane) get through the intersection before it turns red again, leaving at least 3-4 cars in each line having to endure another extremely long cycle of the light. I would like to see more frequent cycles of the light, improving the efficiency of Ashford Center Pkwy and most likely not affecting the throughput of Ashford-Dunwoody Rd.
  • 7000-7400 Ashford Center Pkwy Dunwoody, GA - Dunwoody
The stoplight at the intersection of Ashford Center Pkwy / Chamblee-Dunwoody Rd / Womack Rd is very slow to respond. Its is particularly slow to turn green for traffic crossing Chamblee-Dunwoody Rd. At 7 PM on a Sunday evening, cars backed up 15 deep before it turned green and there were barely 10 cars that went through the intersection travelling on Chamblee-Dunwoody Rd. I don't know if the timing needs to be adjusted or the sensor strips in the new blacktop on Ashford Center Pkwy need to be adjusted.
