I have noticed several times over the past couple weeks the signal for traffic traveling northbound on N Little Cottonwood Rd (SR210) is switching to red and stopping traffic. As I understand the purpose of this signal, it is supposed to stop northbound traffic when there is a pedestrian in the crosswalk. Otherwise, it should be green. I have not noticed any pedestrian in the area when the light has been red. The problem is causing unnecessary stops on 50 mph road.
  • E 6200 S & S Millrock Dr Cottonwood Heights, UT, 84121, USA - Cottonwood Heights
The left turn signal from north-bound Wasatch Blvd to Millrock Dr. has a sign that says "Left Turn Yield On Flashing"...which is great, (I submitted a request for this years ago) but, the light is apparently not actually programmed to flash yellow and allow such a left turn. I have never seen that light configuration at this signal.

This signal has ridiculously long delays to switch for east/west-bound traffic. This evening I waited for 60 seconds for it to turn green after stopping. During that whole time there was NO traffic along Wasatch Blvd.

There have been orange construction barricades for most of the summer placed near this intersection of Wasatch Blvd and Golden Hills Ave. I have not seen any actual construction, however, for several months. Is construction complete? Can you remove the barricades? If it's not complete, please finish the job!

When driving southbound from Wasatch Blvd to southbound Little Cottonwood road the traffic signal will not see/sense a car until you are right at the signal. If it is radar based sensing, please target further away. Many times there has been no cross-traffic and I have to stop at the light before it will turn green...wasting gas, break pads and time.

You guys keep saying this issue has been fixed...but it has not. I have witnessed several times over the past few weeks that the traffic signal for traffic on Wasatch Blvd will be red to allow someone to make a right hand turn onto Wasatch Blvd (northbound and southbound) from the cross street...which should not trip the sensor. Further, the red light for Wasatch Blvd is way too long and is a major bottleneck for traffic at rush hour. Southbound traffic is regularly backed up past Bengal Blvd around 5pm-6pm.

The signal light from SB Wasatch Blvd to N Little Cottonwood Rd is too short. Traffic was backed up all the way back to Creek Rd this morning.

Green light too short. Only 30 seconds. NB traffic backed way up the hill near Bengal Blvd.

The original case was "closed" and claims to have been fixed. I just took the attached photo at 5:21 pm on Monday, August 17th, 2015. This photo was taken from Bengal Blvd - facing south. The traffic was backed up way north of Bengal Blvd. The signal light at 8170 South and Wasatch Blvd is still a huge bottleneck along Wasatch Blvd.

Another problem I have witnessed is when that traffic signal is "out" it reverts to a flashing red - all 4 directions, which is a complete disaster at rush hour.

  • 8098 South Wasatch Boulevard Cottonwood Heights, Utah - Cottonwood Heights
This is, by far, the most annoying traffic light on my commute. The red light on Wasatch Blvd is way too long. I've never seen more than one or two cars at a time ever cross from E 8170 S or 3500 E. Also, the pads in the road often get tripped on 3500 E. and those exiting the condos on 8170 S for even cars turning right onto Wasatch Blvd. The result is that traffic on Wasatch Blvd gets backed up as far as Bengal Blvd during rush hours and unnecessarily stops traffic throughout the day. We did fine for years without this traffic light. If you must keep it, please reduce the time that it stops traffic on Wasatch Blvd and shrink the trigger pads in the road to prevent inadvertent triggering.
  • South Millrock Drive Cottonwood Heights, Utah - Cottonwood Heights
Traffic signal should be altered to allow a yielding left turn from northbound to go west on Millrock Dr. A blinking yellow left turn signal would be great. Same issue for southbound traffic turning left onto Wasatch Blvd.
