  • Foothill Blvd & Fruitvale Ave Oakland, CA, 94601, USA - Hawthorne
When traveling east on Foothill Blvd and turning north (left) onto Fruitvale Ave, the turn signal will not change for a bicycle on the bicycle-marker, even if there is a car behind the bicycle in the turn-lane.
  • Mountain Blvd & Thornhill Dr Oakland, CA, 94611, USA - Merriwood
When traveling southwest on Thornhill Dr, making a left turn onto south-bound Mountain Blvd, the traffic signal will not change to green for bicycles in the bike lane. This is a very busy intersection that includes an interstate offramp, making it exceptionally dangerous for cyclists. Please adjust the sensor(s) for the traffic signal.
  • E 10th St & 29th Ave Oakland, CA, 94601, USA - North Kennedy Tract

When traveling from E 10th St onto 29th Ave, the traffic light currently will not change for bicycles. Please, adjust the sensor, and mark on the road where bicycles should stand to trigger the traffic light.

This is the second time I have made this request. The first time, it was marked "closed" without any action being taken.

  • 29th Ave & Ford St Oakland, CA, 94601, USA - South Kennedy Tract
Since Ford St between 29th Ave and 23rd Ave is one-way, and traffic on 29th Ave headed north is also one-way, both north-bound and south-bound traffic from 29th Ave are legally allowed to turn west onto Ford St during red lights. This is especially a problem because it is a three-way intersection, so both directions have red light simultaneously. Turns on red should be prohibited from at least one of these directions.
  • E 11th St & 23rd Ave Oakland, CA, 94601, USA - North Kennedy Tract
The traffic signals at this intersection have been flashing red for over 24 hours.
  • Lake Merritt Blvd Oakland, CA, 94607, USA - Merritt
Multiple dead rodents have been rotting in the eastbound bike lane of Lake Merrit Blvd, on and around the bridge, for several months. There are at least two.
  • 14th St & Webster St Oakland, CA, 94612, USA - Oakland
The new Webster and 14th Street signs are only 6 feet off the ground, and they are sticking out over the street. It is only a matter of time before a truck or car destroys the signs while turning right onto 14th. The signs are low enough that cyclists and some pedestrians could easily hit their heads on them.
  • 47th Ave & International Blvd Oakland, CA, 94601, USA - Fremont
This pothole is deep enough that you can see the dirt under the pavement. It could easily cause injury to a bicyclist, or damage to a car. It is located on the north-bound side of International Blvd, just past 47th Ave.
  • E 12th St & 23rd Ave Oakland, CA, 94606, USA - East Peralta
All of the street lamps on the 23rd Ave overpass are out. There is no light on the overpass after dark.
  • 7101 International Blvd Oakland, California, 94621 - Coliseum
Every day, there are several cars parked in the southbound bike lane, along the 7100 block of International Blvd. During business hours, there always seems to be at least two cars parked in the bike lane, usually more. Most of the people who park there are patronizing Tolins Liquor Store.
  • 23rd Ave Oakland, CA, 94606, USA - East Peralta
The 23rd Ave bridge over the train tracks literally has over 100 potholes on it. It is totally unsafe for any two-wheeled vehicles, such as bicycle and motorcycles.
  • E 11th St & 23rd Ave Oakland, CA, 94601, USA - North Kennedy Tract

When headed north on 23rd Avenue, on the overpass that crosses 880, towards East 11th Street, it is impossible to see the traffic signals at the 11th Street intersection from the bicycle lane once you are within about 10 - 15 feet from the intersection, including from within the green paint.

The traffic signals are designed to not be visible to vehicles merging from other streets, but none of the lights are visible from the bicycle lane.

  • E 11th St & 23rd Ave Oakland, CA, 94601, USA - North Kennedy Tract
When headed west off of East 11th St and turning left onto 23rd Ave, the traffic signal will not change for bicycles, even though there is a bicycle symbol painted at the intersection.
  • 1093-1099 Calcot Pl Oakland, CA, 94606, USA - North Kennedy Tract
The people in the homeless encampment under the bridge, by the train tracks, keep fires going all night. They burn anything, including plastics. It is causing major health problems for residents in the area.
  • 1204 Fruitvale Ave Oakland, California - Fruitvale Station
The Domino's Pizza keeps leaving their dumpster in the bike lane, on East 12th Street. They stopped for a few weeks, after my last complaint, but they're at it again.
  • Fruitvale Ave & E 12th Street Oakland, California - Hawthorne
Everyday, people keep parking in the bicycle lane, next to Domino's. There used to be a "No Parking" sign here (and there are still others, on the same block), but somebody stole it. Please replace the sign so that people know not to park in the bike lane.
  • Fruitvale Ave & East 12th St Oakland, California - Oakland

People keep parking in the bike lane on East 12th Street, next to the Domino's Pizza. Domino's also constantly places their dumpster directly in the bike lane. There used to be a "No Parking" sign there, but somebody took it down.

This is especially dangerous because, by law, cars are supposed to enter the bike lane (the right most lane) to make a right turn. With the parked cars and dumpster blocking the lane, cars frequently have to cross in front of cyclists to make a right turn.
