The abandoned property space located on the 2800 block of Gainesville of SE has now become a bulk trash dump site. These goons not only tore down portions of the safety fence but it now surrounded by mattresses, tires, and pieces of broken furniture. When will one of these DC agencies take action on this easily accessible hazardous property? Are they waiting for someone to fall into the water and drown? Dear community, please vote to get this issue fixed. This keeps getting reported and acknowledged by the city with no resolution. I've lived here almost seven years. This abandoned property needs to be drained, cleaned up, covered and secured until a new developer is found. Please put our tax money to good use. Tweet it! Instagram it! Facebook it! Do whatever you can to get this issue fixed! Media outlets should also get involved. Thanks.

Someone's been clearing out an abandoned building over the last couple months on Gainesville St. Se. In the past they've illegally used the areas in and around dumpsters in the rear of the properties belonging to other residents. The residents have endured fines from the city because of this. It appears a though they've finally purchased a construction dumpster but the dumpster is now full. Bulk items such as mattresses and couches are now appearing in the rear of other properties. Before the fines start pouring in to innocent residents I wanted to report this. I took a picture of an abandoned couch that has now as of today, magically moved to the rear of another property. This has been an expensive nightmare for residents that share the easily accessible alley in the rear of Gainesville and Hartford St SE. Thank you.
