There’s a safety issue in the alley behind 727 38th Ave. N. East Street light is not staying lit. It goes on and off intermittently. Very dark and not safe.

Our household and recently had to call the non-emergency police to report a suspicious person or persons and our next door neighbor's backyard which is abandoned full of junk and has many Code Compliance issues that are open right now. The response from the police dispatcher was there's really nothing that we can do and we don't feel it's necessary though we come out. My Father John Walton who's the one who actually made the call had cute go back and forth verbally with the dispatcher to get him to agree to send somebody out. It turns out that there was a homeless person in the yard next door and he ended up jumping the fence breaking his foot causing all sorts of commotion in the neighborhood putting my family at risk for being injured. We have since tried making many calls to the police department and have gotten nothing for the runaround as far as he's working this shift he's working that shift. The street lights are out for the third day in a row again on 38th Ave., North East for the block from poplar all the way down to Maple. This is a continuous problem and has been fixed before but needs more attention.
