It's Sunday, cars parked even side Quinnipiac from the train bridge 2/3s of the distance towards Rt 80. It must be soccer day. There's a soccer field fenced and lighted behind the Essex Town Houses. To gain access people must walk on Housing Authority property. The owner charges admission, supposedly had been selling liquor. All w/o permits. And Summer the traffic goes all the way to Rt 80. Gage Frank, Mayor Elicker, plz do something about this as well as the drag racing on Rt 80

It's 10pm Saturday night and the soccer games are on again. Every Thurs, Fri and Sat nights. People are still coming in; I counted 52 cars parked on Quinnipiac alone, when usually at this time there are none.I complained last year and again this year: the Health Dept, the Housing Authority, the Police, the Building Dept. Besides being an illegal activity where alcohol is supposedly sold and teams pay the owner to play (he lives in front on Quinnipiac), I am sure that proper COVID precautions are not being taken, including large crowds. This is a land-locked parcel and the only access is via Housing Authority driveway.I am surprised that Essex Townhouse tenants haven't complained of the late night noise, bright lights and tons of people. What does it take to get action?

yesterday someone in a black 4 door pickup tried to pull down the Welcome to Fair Haven banner that has been there for years. Not able to pull it down, he hacksawed the metal pole, got the banner and drove off (as reported by a neighbor to me)

at least a 6" difference in surface levels of sidewalk creates a dangerous situation for pedestrians.
In addition the left side yard is filled with debris and junk, a shame because a nice job rehabbing the property

I walk on this sidewalk everyday and the tree roots have created a very dangerous situation for pedestrians. I'm not sure if this is a private property issue or one caused by the tree and thus a City issue

Damage was done to this curb back in the 1980's and City promised to replace the curb, but nothing has happened since then. The owner, who speaks little English, asked me to intercede on his behalf

This is an accident- and law suit-waiting to happen: no barrier whatsoever on sidewalk- a car, pedestrian, or bicyclist can just fall right in to the creek

Since the recent wine storm there have been wires dangling onto the sidewalk and into the front yard from the main line. Can't tell if they are cable or phone lines. Whom do we contact to remove?

the public black wrought iron trash container on the corner of Quinnipiac and Foxon was not emptied today with the regular trash pickup in our area. It is almost overflowing
  • 28 Foxon St New Haven, Connecticut - Fair Haven Heights
Quinn/Essex and Foxon St trash gets picked up Friday AM but because of the storm Thursday no one put their bins out. My wife called Public Works twice to find out if we should put our bins out Fri. night. We could not get a definitive answer. Houses on Essex and Foxon put out their bins Friday and as of Sat 12 noon, they have not been picked up. Should we leave them there, bring them in? Any direction would be deeply appreciated. Thanks

2nd filing: branches knocked down by van still at curb where Foxon meets Quinnipiac Ave, right side.

van hit tree branches which are blocking curb area on right hand side of Foxon as it meets Quinnipiac Avenue
  • 15 Foxon Street New Haven, Connecticut - Fair Haven Heights
the public black wrought iron trash bin was not picked up this morning. It is overflowing and I would think the best time to empty it would be during our regular trash pickup Friday AM
  • 47 Foxon Street New Haven, Connecticut - Fair Haven Heights
The cul de sac at the end of Essex and Foxon St. is very unkempt and overgrown; is there some department that can attend to this area: grass overgrown, trees helter skelter, etc?

There is now half a fence protecting the sidewalk from the Hemingway Creek. Someone can easily fall over the side into the creek. I think a Jersey barrier or some other obstacle would be prudent
