Your park has fleas or other biting insects. A lot of them. If I go there I come back with flea bites every time. It also occasionally has visible rodent population, but the primary culprits are probably the dogs people bring there. Please find a non-toxic resolution to the flea problem so people can enjoy the park. There is no other place in San Francisco that has so many insects biting people.

Pothole in sidewalk 6"x 8" by four inch deep, pedestrian hazard, particularly at night. Behind NW corner bus shelter.

Nail head protruding 3/4 inch from concrete in the middle of sidewalk in front of GreyHound station.
  • 821 Leavenworth St San Francisco, CA, 94109, USA - Downtown

Two foot wide six inch trench in asphalt approximately 8' long. Just dangerous for our many bicycle and motorcycle riders and pedestrians. Everyone else fine. This has been an issue for several months over several iterations of repair. Still there though.

Also, there are curbs decaying in Chinatown on Broadway west of Columbus, not safe walking for many pedestrians.

Thank you all for working through the messy weather.

Lowell basketball hoops need two new nets. Fence needs rebuilding. The gymnastic apparatus is great, except it hasn't parallel bars, it has more rings than anyone uses, and it is designed poorly so it obscures view. (There is no reason for it to have its own wall.). Park and rec can get down to build something better. Also, still no drinking fountain, after several years...?

Standing water where there was formerly drainage grate on NW corner of intersection. Appears to be contractor change of intersection design that has caused the standing water.

Darrell Pl & Filbert St San Francisco, CA, 94133, USA - North Beach
Filbert path has broken and weak hand rails insufficient to safely prevent accident for users > 200 lbs. The wood dowel hand rails or flimsy, splintery, and broken, and fastened by very weak screws. They do not do the job they were ostensibly designed for. They are disconnected in more than one place, and have been reassembled in a slipshod fashion. The entire handrail network on Filbert path needs redesign, rebuilding.

Feces on Leavenworth NW sidewalk of Leavenworth and Sutter has been there a couple of days, while DPW or contractors have had to work adjacent to the waste. This corner has a bus shelter, and a convenience store, so intersection should be visually checked for human or dog waste daily.

Sign on south fence of basketball court has six or eight 2 1/2" or so bolts which protrude through the fence into the playing area. This size bolt provides no extra value to the signage, but has caused puncture injuries to basketball players in the past. Another sign on the same fence uses shorter bolts, and presents no such hazard. Please replace with short bolts and cap or otherwise terminate.

I am regularly picking up rusted and non-rusted steel blades from off of the streets of San Francisco, as well as rusty nails.

These are intentionally placed by dog owners and trainers.

They present a walking and puncture hazard to walkers and joggers.

They area nuisance and are not appropriate for training animals not to pick up things they shouldn't be picking up.

Please make it known to all in SF that leaving sharp and pounted blades and nails on sidewalk and street is hazardous and not legal.

Repeated automobile based noise issue on Sutter street, typically. High volume music, typically rap variety but not always played extremely loud such that us invadive even for those who live on higher floors in sdjacent builfings. The businesses adjacent to the intersection each maintain numerous camera systems. It should take very little effort to identify the frequent audio assaulters. There regular disrespect of locals right to a nuisance free, largely noise free environment had been regularly and intentionally violated by loud amplified music broadcasting in vehicles.

Every year people die from falls from outdated designs of fire escapes. This is my building's escape ladder. Thin, painted rungs, short railings with minimal protection from slipping over the side or the landing. This is present throughout the city and needs to ge addressed either in code, or code enforcement, and possibly needs city financing to correct. The average person over age fifty or under age five would have harrowing experience trying to use the typucal SF fire escape.

Very strong persistent waste/sewer odor on west side of Leavenworth below Pine. Recent excavation at Leavenworth and Bush may indicate that SFMUD already has plans to fix. Needs resolution in any case.
