On Monday evening Nov. 2nd around 10pm, water began draining from the above residence address again. No rain. Where is this water coming from? It drains in front of my residence.

On Sunday November 1, 2015 at approximately 3:30 pm water once again began draining from this residence out into the street. No rain for months and the water keeps draining. The water needs to be tested for contaminants as birds don't touch it.

On Monday, October 26, 2015 water is once again coming out of the drain onto the street, on front of my residence, as typical, leaving little puddles. Since the Dept. of PW says its not their responsibility and that they have referred this 3 1/2 year flow issue to EBMUD, have they followed-up?

Everytime water pours out of the drain located at the 6210 Laird Ave. residence it will be reported on this site. Today, Monday October 19, 2015 the water is once again draining. Has the Dept. of Public Works heard from EBMUD and why or why not? Since Public Works said it was referring this issue.

Water flowing this morning 10/14/15 from the drain pipe at 6210 Laird onto the street. 2nd straight day in a row.

Every time water flows out of the drain from 6210 it will be reported on this site until the city, country or state entity responsible for investigating this situation is held to task. Today, October 14, 2015 the water flows again. The Dept. of Public Works needs to be investigated as to why they took the time and had 3 men come out here, appearing to be so concerned (that should have been the tip off) & still the situation remains unchanged. They did not refer this to EBMUD as discovered this week. Additionally, months before this the chief engineer from the Dept. of Public Works was also here and did nothing to resolve this ongoing suspicious activity.

There is a water stain on the street from water being let out of the drain pipe from the 6210 Laird Ave residence. So apparently this was done sometime very early today. The Department of Public Works said they referred this issue to EBMUD. In a call to EBMUD today, they have received no referral from the Dept. of Public Works to check out this water flow issue. So, independently, once again, a request has been made to EBMUD to check out this regulated/controlled water flow. Looks like the Dept. of Public Works is blowing smoke.

Given that the drainage problem will not be resolved by the Dept of PW and given that these posts are public and given that harassment, property destruction and trespassing are all a consequence of reporting the drainage issue, my alarm system sign was ripped out of the ground and turned upside down today on the boundary with 6210.

Today Monday, October 5, 2015, the resident of 6210 arrives home and the water is flowing and draining again. Obviously, this is regulated - on and 0ff. The California Water Resources Board has now been officially notified including the amount of times the Dept. of Public Works has been out and have done absolutely nothing except to give lip service. Can you imagine if every homeowner in Oakland did what 6210 Laird is doing - the streets of Oakland would be awash in water.

Today, Sunday, October 4, 2015 the water coming from the drain pipe located at the 6210 Laird Ave residence is streaming out creating small puddles, and leaving a trail of water down the street in front of other residences. Every time this happens it will be reported. It is dismaying that there is such a callous disregard for the environment, for the waste of water and for the indifference to other resident's. This applies to the Dept. of Public Works, as well, who should have resolved this problem 3 1/2 years ago when they were first called out here and it has remained unresolved for their 3 to 4 subsequent visits.
  • 6210 Laird Ave Oakland, California - Millsmont
Water streaming out of drain at 6210 Laird making a mess on the street, in front of private residences, this seems to be groundwater as the Dept. of PW said it is not sewer water and there is no leak that has been identified.
  • 6216 Laird Ave Oakland, California - Millsmont
The Dept. of Public Works, with 2 to 3 men, visited the residence at 6210 Laird on 9/11/15 for supposedly the purpose of uncovering the source of the constant drainage that has been going on for 3 1/2 years. On Sept. 18th, the Dept. of PW closed the issue as resolved. Today, Sept. 29th, the water is flowing again. Not to bring Shakespeare into this but "something is rotten in the State of Denmark" or in this case, the Dept. of PW. Now, this is the 3rd visit from the Dept. of PW. Next stop, the State of California Water Resource Board who has an investigative section.
