  • Broadway & Ocean Ave Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
Pothole at corner of Broadway and Ocean.
  • Bridge St & Washington St Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
Sign stating Right Turn on Red After Stop is located behind tree which can’t be seen, in addition, all drivers are looking left and never see the sign.
Sign should be placed on left side island on traffic light pole or similar spot. In state, out of state, traffic backs up down Bridge St because everyone stops at red light, fails to see that turn is allowed.
  • 65 Willson Street Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
  • 57 Charter Street Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
The refurb of Charter Street Burying Point is complete, yet sign that informs tourists of famous people buried there never made it back. Is it possible to get this sign back?
  • 2-4 Cambridge St Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
  • 9 Peabody Street Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
Peabody St, 3rd request, over 14 pot holes, prior requests were not handled/repaired. Every winter street becomes a war zone of pot hole after pot hole. City seems reluctant to timely repair, every year. Asphalt is only 2inches thick over cobblestones, which easily creates multiple pot holes. Remove cobblestones, install a tamped down base and repave... Fixed.

  • 1-11 Central St Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
Parking meter #210 on Central St is only giving you 2 minutes per quarter ($0.25). I put in $0.75 and got 6 minutes before the flag went red and made me illegal. (Last one just before street turns into pedestrian mall).
  • 1-99 Ward St Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
In the past week I have been on Harbor St at the intersection with Lafayette waiting and waiting for the light to turn green. The green light for Layfayette is either extremely long, or is stuck on green meaning Harbor never gets the green light. Each time, cars in front of me, and the rest of us in line cautiously cross the intersection on a red light because it doesn’t seem to ever change to green.
  • 6-98 Willson Rd Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
Several potholes at intersection of Willson St and Willson Rd.
  • Wilson St Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
So many people are upset, and I agree, with the Wilson Street bike lane. What no one has done is to present a solution aside from abandoning the entire project.
My solution, take away the poles and add a rumble strip, EXACTLY AS YOU DID ON FORT AVENUE WHICH WORKS INCREDIBLY WELL, without giving drivers the sense of being squeezed in together. This solves the emergency vehicle needing to pass, the snowplows ripping or damaging the poles, while still providing the driver with a warning system that they are off the road.
And yes, just today I almost got sideswiped by a landscapers truck and trailer crossing the double line into my lane. Scary...

Wind storm knocked most of sidewalk city tree onto the ground.
  • 2 Emerald Ave Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
Hi, 9 Berrywood Ln didn’t have his 2 recycle barrels out which are both full. Recycle guys have never come before 8 AM before. Any chance getting them back?
  • 144 Canal St Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
An abandoned queen bed and, what appears to be a bumper to a car have been sitting on the side of the road for at least several months.
  • 15 Summer St Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
My comment is about the new roundabout at Chestnut, Summer, and North streets. Intersection is too small for trolleys, buses, trucks to navigate around without hitting pilons. In addition, cars Do Not yield coming from North st to the intersection, nor from the downtown side, they barrel right through.
A likely fix, make the intersection a 4 way stop.

  • 21 Summer St Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
There is a No Parking sign that is bent/leaning into the street. It doesn’t affect cars, but truck, bus, and trolley mirrors hit this sign enough and the mirrors never win the battle. If it could be bent back in line with the sidewalk, it would be appreciated.
  • Approx 24 Peabody Street City of Salem, MA - City of Salem
Right at the entrance to the power substation is a dual set of deep potholes smack in the middle of the street. Street is narrow due to cars parked on both sides makes averting a challenge.
