Deep pothole in the center of the road between 3 & 4 Carrollton st. The surounding area of the street is cracking and falling apart. This road is in need of repaving. Small street but due to traffic going to Witchcraft this past year due to Covid our street became a cut thru for traffic. Since the school year ended it has been falling apart. I am only guessing traffic on this road will increase again once school starts up.

The road on Carrollton st is falling apart. The picture of this broken asphalt is from only a few cars driving over it this past week due to driveways being worked on. Many holes have been filled over the past year and those. Holes have gotten bigger and worse. The road in some areas has cracked into small pieces and I am sure it will be torn up come this winter with plows. The small street of Carrollton could use a good leveling and repaving as we have no sewer drains on our street and the water just puddles up and fills all the holes causing more cracks and more holes. This is a safety concern for cars and a safety concern for people who walk, play or ride bikes down our street (which happen alot).
  • Calumet St & Carrollton St Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
A new telephone pole was put in last fall and 15mph speed limit and caution children at play signs were never put back on. We have had people flying down our street in both directions. It's a small street with lots of kids and no one is observing the 15mph speed limit.
There should be a sign facing Calumet st before turning onto Carrollton and one facing down Carrollton St.

Low power and cable lines due to a leaning power pole. We were told this would be fixed and here we are with a delivery truck that can not get down the street safely. The delivery driver had to unload in front of my house and walk the delivery down the street. We are lucky he stopped when he noticed the low lines or we would have been without power and cable. This pole and lines need to be fixed ASAP before they do get torn down.

Speed limit sign lying on the ground. Cars flying down the small road as a cut through to Marlborough rd.
  • 4 Carrollton Street Salem, Massachusetts - City of Salem
As of 8am Friday 11/16 Carrollton St. has not been plowed. And the entrance to Carrollton st from Belleview is lined with plowed snow because Belleview was plowed. Leaving it difficult to enter and exit Carrollton st safely. A lot of slipping and sliding has been observed. This street is 2 blocks from Witchcraft Elementary School and many children walk to school in this area. It began raining at 4am, there is no reason why roads should be snow covered at all by 8am.
  • 5 Carrollton Street Salem, Massachusetts - City of Salem
The telephone pole that is located between houses 2 and 4 is leaning to the left causing the power lines that go across the road to 5 Carrollton st. to be too low to the ground. On tuesday this past week when trash was collected the garbage truck nicked the power line with the robot arm/trash barrel causing the power line to sway and the telephone pole and all wires attached to it to shake very badly. The garbage truck was very lucky that the power line was not snagged and pulled off and onto the truck. This IS NOT the 1st issue we have had with the lines being too low to the ground. They have almost been snagged by landscaping trucks, fire trucks and tree removal trucks over the past year. It would be great to have a new pole installed AND raise the wires to a safe height. I Would hate to see anyone get hurt because of this.
  • Bridge St. Salem, Massachusetts - City of Salem
Bridge street is a mess. Lanes are snow covered. But not the entire lane. But you don't know that until your faced with plowing into a snow bank or vearing into traffic.
There is no excuse for a main road from Beverly to Salem with a high volume of traffic to be so badly plowed. Someone is going to get hurt. It's a traffic accident just waiting to happen.
  • 15 Lynde Street Salem, Massachusetts - City of Salem
The parking lot at the Salem YMCA is horrible. Spots have not been cleaned out. I had to park on a snow pile in a legal parking so I could go to work. These spaces need to be cleaned. Who wants to pay for a spot that is snow covered !

  • 40 Calumet Street Salem, Massachusetts - City of Salem
There is a Stop sign on Calumet street at the top of Dundee st. No one stops because they don't see the sign and there is no stop sign painted on the ground. The stop sign is in front of the red house on Calumet st. #40 I believe.
  • Belleview Ave Salem, Massachusetts - City of Salem
Between Frederick st and Carrollton st on Belleview Ave. There are no speed limit signs. It say school zone but that hasn't stopped people from speeding up and down Belleview Ave and squealing their tires as they turn onto Frederick st.
School is back in session and there are a lot if elementary school kids who walk to school. They need to be safe and drivers need to be aware the speed limit is 20mph.
