5309 Hatcher Street Richmond, Virginia - Fulton
Two issues to report here. 1} The speed limit / no litter sign has been knocked down - photo attached and 2) about 100 feet further down the street the edge of the pavement has caved in leaving a deep rut for passenger side tires to fall into. Someone put a cone in the rut but it has fallen over.
  • 5310 Newton Road Richmond, Virginia - Fulton
Trash has piled up on both sides of Newton Road between Hatcher Street and the City/County line (in plain sight of two litter fine signs). This stretch of road with overgrown shoulders and a blind hill/curve where cars do not heed the speed limit is potentially dangerous for any citizen effort to remove trash. Please schedule a clean-up, thanks.

This is a recurring problem, right in front of 'No Littering' signs, too.
  • 139 Virginia Street Richmond, Virginia - Shockoe Slip
Hello, the mess in the attached photo was left by whoever had a large dumpster sitting there for the last six months or so. The dumpster was removed about a month ago, but the mess remained.

Please trim the ornamental grass planted along the wall at the Canal (see attached pic) just east of the Basin. It has grown so huge that pedestrians traveling in opposite directions either get a grass spanking or nearly fall into the drink (depending on which side you're on).

On Hatcher Street (especially in the new ditch) and along both sides of the short stretch called Newton Road, there is trash on the ground (presumably tossed from windows, even though there are litter fine signs right there). Please have these two streets cleaned up for the holidays. Thank you.

Regarding the stretch of road between Williamsburg Road and Richmond City Limit at New Osborn Tnpk.

A Richmond Citizen's Request (#20020995895) for picking up the trash was submitted on December 24, 2015 with an expected Due Date of January 18, 2016. Then a follow up email to the Mayor's Office was sent on February 5, which I'm told was forwarded to Public Works. The trash is still there, the ticket is still open. February 14, 2016.

Note: The Citizen's Request was for Newton Road, but as you can see from this video ( https://youtu.be/i05jFoZb_PA ), the road is littered all through Hatcher Street too.

This is the first view of Richmond for visitors coming from Henrico via New Osborne Tnpk. There is a blind curve at both ends and a blind hill in the middle, making it difficult for citizens to safely maintain it. Richmond's Department of Public Works is not diligent about keeping it clean.
