    At the entrance to winter island there is a piece of metal protruding from the ground. I don't know what caused it to come up but it's been like this since early last week, which is when I reported it to winter island staff. If a cyclist doesn't see it they could have a serious accident.

    I called Salem PD yesterday at 10.20 am to report that the lights were out at Webb/Essex, well surprise they are still out today. It's almost impossible to get through that junction on a bicycle without the lights working, good luck if your a pedestrian.

    Could you please create a service zone by the food pantry so that their van does not park completely blocking the Congress street bike lane.

    If that will take some time could you please ask them to not park in the bike lane. During the construction of that building vehicles were constantly blocking the bike lane and it makes it really hard for vehicles coming from Leavitt street to see oncoming cyclists.

    The attached photo is of the last remaining remnants of the double yellow lines on Collins street that were painted 4 or 5 years ago. Last year the city re-striped city wide and did not re-paint the yellow lines on Collins Street. This spring the city re-striped city wide and again did not re-paint the yellow lines on Collins Street.

    Last spring I entered a see click fix for the same problem and it’s still open, I also emailed my ward councilor last year and this year and still nothing happened. I’m tired of almost getting into head on collisions when vehicles turn from Webb street to Collins street at high speed and drive in the middle of the street because there are no lines to guide them to actually drive on the right.

    I have not categorized this request as line painting in the hopes that it doesn't just get ignored again.

    How much longer are these spaces on federal street going to be free parking? I understand the meters were removed while the sidewalk work was done during the Brix construction but that was finished a while ago. Every other parking space around here is metered.
