    Cars are parked on the north side of the 800 block of Dewey for an event today and all are being ticketed. Yet, there aren't any "NO PARKING" signs in this block. Neighbors know not to park there, but this is unfair to outsiders.

    The city planted a nice tree here (on White Street at the northwest corner of White and Dewey) which was doing its best to grow until some vandals broke it off at ground level. The problem has been happening regularly with any tree planted at this intersection. Is there any way to have trees planted which are too large to be snapped off?

    For more than a week, an abandoned junk bike has been sitting on its side in the park. It cannot even be wheeled away as the chain and derailleur are intertwined with the tire. Someone could easily trip over it in the dark.

    The streetlight on this corner has been out for weeks. I have reported it twice and was repeatedly told it is DTE's responsibility. Unfortunately, DTE now states that they cannot repair the light unless tree trimming is done by the City. Earlier the DTE representative said, "We requested TT on 11/11 and are waiting on tree trim." Please help. This is a dangerous intersection.

    The streetlight on this heavily-traveled corner is dead. There are a lot of pedestrians, cars and bicyclists and as there is no stop sign, it is a major safety hazard not to have the streetlight.

    For several months now, a large "NB DIVISION" detour sign (with metal support poles) has been lying on the lawn extension in front of 1237 White, preventing grass from growing and looking trashy. It is obviously not considered anyone's responsibility because it is an official City sign. Is there any way to remove this eyesore?

    I nearly had an accident on Stone School Road because people are going the wrong way to avoid the extremely long detour caused by the Stone School Road bridge repair -- which has gone on for so long that people are disregarding the signs. This is very dangerous, and my friends who live down there told me that the bridge work has been neglected for months, and there have been accidents.     A Sweet Gum tree recently planted on the West side of White (at the Northwest corner of White and Dewey) has been broken off about three feet up. Directly across the street, a newly planted Oak tree was lying on the hood of a car with two street cones.

    A nice old tree on White on the lawn extension appertaining to 803 Dewey (corner lot) was suddenly cut down yesterday, and we are very upset. Not only that, a young tree planted in front of 803 Dewey was uprooted and destroyed last year. This time, whoever did it had a chainsaw and removed it entirely, leaving a stump. It happened late at night or early in the a.m., and if the city did not do this, it was obviously the property owner, as no tenant would be able to accomplish such a job.
