    I'm no masonry expert but there are gaps in the mortar of the concrete blocks of the wall at Jacob Scharf Park on Florence St. Water will get in the gaps, freeze then expand during winter thereby compromising the wall integrity. I would take the contractor to task on this. Bottom line: I want my tax dollars deployed free of waste.

    The traffic signal on the odd address number side of the intersection of Union St. and Malden St. does not light up for pedestrians to cross. One has to look to the even address number side of the street, in front of Kelly's Hair Salon, to see the pedestrian crossing signal.

    The street sign on the intersection of Union St. and Silver Rd. broke off it's sidewalk mount and is now dangling on a chain link fence. Please see the image posted. This poses a clear and present danger to residents and pedestrians. At any time the sign can fall and seriously injure a child. Please repair it as soon as possible.
