, Gray-Mane and Auto 2 dead tags sitting at the corner of Madison and 2nd Street zebras been in for about 45 months or longer

The police have been here. Our neighbors saw Alice Harrington dump several bags of construction refuse and God knows what else in the alley this afternoon and complained to the police. I don't know what will happen next but I understand it is an illegal action for which she could be arrested. I do not have the names of the officers that came. The thing is, the bags of trash are still in the alley. We don't want to be fined and our neighbors, the Bonners at 54 Longfellow N.W. also don't want to be fined. Can the city pick up the bags. Allegedly The person doing The Dumping lives at 36 Longfellow Street Northwest

The tree on the south west corner of Madison Street Northwest is obstructing The View for vehicles exiting milmarson Pl NW which creates an unsafe corner for Vehicles exiting the street

Good afternoon Councilmember and MOCR Benab,

I am writing to follow-up on an issue which has been plaguing my neighborhood for years without adequate city response. My neighbors at 5804 3rd Place NW have been blatantely violating DC law by using their handicap placard and designated parking space when their disabled relative is not in the vehicle, or even owns one of her own.

While I understand the law doesn't require the disabled person to have a car registered in their name in order to receive a handicap placard or designated space, I am sure the law does require those amenities to only be used for the purpose of assisting the disabled person. This is not the case in this instance.

Based on 18 DCMR 2710 (e) Ms. Cook has a backyard driveway to allow her to park there. However, she chooses to allow the other inhabitants of the home use as a car dumping ground with sometimes as many as four cars parked in that driveway at one time. (We suspect it is to avoid being ticketed and towed, something which has occurred in the past). Instead of using this option, she elected to have a private spot reserved for her in front of her home during the time in which she owned her own vehicle. Now that her health has declined and she no longer drives she has allowed her guests and family members use her parking placard and reserved spot for hours, days, weeks, months and years at a time.. It is always a floating litany of cards from DC and MD utilizing that spot on a daily basis. As Ms. Cook rarely leaves her home due to her disability it is hard to believe that each one of these guests, family members is transporting her while Ms. Cooke is using other modes of disables transportation via Metro Access.

I am requesting that an investigation be done and that pursuant to 18 DCMR 2718(d), penalties be imposed for "Allow[ing] a non-disabled person to use his or her permit or tags for that purpose when the person with a disability is not in the motor vehicle when the vehicle is driven into or out of the parking space. I am also requesting the removal of the reserved parking space be removed per 18 DCMR 2716.1.

New poles installed street light was removed and needs to be replaced we had a number of break-ins in the area because of the street light
