Dead raccoon on the north edge of Hodge Road It’s been there at least two days.

This is a city-maintained tree that is currently obstructing the sidewalk and needs to be trimmed up.

This evergreen tree is blocking access to the sidewalk. This is the third time I’ve reported a problem with this tree in the past year. City of Raleigh needs to get out here and trim it back.

I'm not clear why CoR closed the original report. The stated reason was that you needed "more detailed information on how to identify the location," but the original report pinpointed the location on the map AND the intersecting streets were named in the problem description. What other information about a pothole could you possibly need?

Over the past year or two, I've noticed a change in the behavior of our Raleigh Waste Management trash pick-up truck driver. In the past, the driver would stop his truck, pick up the trash bin, empty it, then put it back down in the same spot.

In more recent times, the driver picks up the bin, then resumes moving while emptying and releasing it, resulting in the bin's bouncing along the side of the road and ending up on its side (usually 10-12 feet from where it started). I predict that this is going to result, over time, in a significant decrease in the usable lifespan of the trash bins, along with a consequent increase in expenses to the city.

Please note that I'm not blaming the driver--I strongly suspect that this is an unintended result of some management policy that was introduced that is giving our route driver the incentive to try and complete his route as quickly as possible.

Is anyone in other parts of Raleigh noticing this same behavior? If so, please comment (and state your address) so that city officials can get a feel for whether this is an isolated or system-wide problem.

The culvert that allows Rocky Brook to pass under Southall Rd. is mostly clogged on the upstream side. Since the recent rains came through, the upstream side of Rocky Brook (west of Southall Rd.) has completely overflowed its banks, and is currently about 15 inches below overflowing S. Hall Rd.

This is a problem that recurs regularly for this culvert. To my recollection, the culvert was last cleaned out in either late 2014 early 2015. The current clog became apparent about 2 to 3 months ago during a rainstorm when Rocky Brook overflowed Southall Rd., necessitating a rebuilding of the downstream shoulder of Southall Rd., which was mostly washed away. Apparently, The work that was done then to rebuild the downstream shoulder of the road did not also include cleaning out the upstream end the culvert to prevent this from happening again.

There's trash all over the street and median at the New Bern Ave - Trawick Rd intersection. It looks like a garbage truck exploded.
