Grass Height Complaint Form

Please Note: The grass ordinance does not apply to residential lots over 1/2 acre (21,780 square feet). It also takes up to 30 days or more before the grass can be cut on properties in violation of the ordinance. This is because property owners must be given legal notice before the county can take action.

Submit complaints about grass along roads or in medians to the Virginia Department of Transportation. They are responsible for cutting the grass along roads.

    Coming from Beltway on Rt. 7 there is a Flashing
    Yellow Lights Sign to warn drivers to reduce speed to 25mph as they are about to enter
    Falls Church City. The lights have not been working for months.
    It would certainly make
    it safer to cross the street......Most people now enter the City here at approx 45mph

(2) Significant pedestrian traffic exists from WMATA bus stop #5001527 to the same residential complex.

    The street light that had previously lit this crosswalk was knocked down some time ago and still lies in the bushes on the side of the road. The lack of light, combined with the speed of the vehicles exiting 66 makes this a dangerous pedestrian area.

    66 At Entrance To Dulles Connector Arlington, VA - Pimmit Hills
    The overhead sign on 66 indicates that only the right lane curves to enter the Dulles connector road. In fact, BOTH the right lane and the 2nd lane from the right will take you onto the connector road. Overhead sign should be changed to indicate this in order to avoid cars in the 2nd lane from right cutting over to the right when they do not need to do so.
