1st Ward

Been living in Davenport since 2008 and would like the Mayor and City to explain why this trailer court gets to stay across the street from one of our high schools - what are we teaching our children and what does it mean to them to walk by, drive by and see this horrible living area keep deteriating for years.
Are there any city ordinances for cleanliness, orderliness, respect to the neighborhood and to be and example to our SCHOOL CHILDREN.
Mayor Matsen, what would it take to either clean this trailer park up (or get rid of it) for the sake our our children, for the sake of local tax payers paying for our own upkept properties but have to drive by this...and for the sake of the City of Davenport's appearance to new people entering our city as this is a main entrance into Davenport from the Interstate.
This place is as shambles and needs to cleaned up, fenced in and/or moved - and make our CITY LOOK BETTER and be PROUD around our students, school staff, neighboring property tax payers and for sake of new comers - and to help those in need in that trailer court to not have to live in these situations...away from our schools.

To start off, this place looks like a dump. the grass and weeds don't hardly get cut. People live in this building, that they can't take care of it, looks like something to get tore down. Then we have vehicles, alot of them don't run or move. now they have a crap load more and parking them on the grass. they are no better then anyone else. If we park on grass we get in trouble.

Old moose lodge has cars parked in the grass, trucks that been on fire, some with flat tires and inoperable.

trees are growing into the fence line and impeding on my property. they are blocking my entrance to my wheelchair ramp. this is the second notice to the city.

Trailer has been parked on the street for couple weeks with what looks to be trash.i

Our neighborhood roads have not received repair other than tar packing for over a century. The tar packing never stays. As soon as it rains, it gets washed away. Our entire neighborhood is potholes and cracks. Next to our home, the water constantly accumulates in the holes and stays there until I blow it out or it evaporates. I gather the loose gravel regularly. I am hopeful the City will understand we pay taxes as well and are way overdue for real road repair. Thank you.

Would you please consider placing a reflective left arrow or two or just a couple of refltors on this facing curve where Waverly Rd. meets Lincoln Ave?

At night, even with the street light, it can be hard to be certain exactly where to cut across Lincoln in order to go up Waverly, especially since you have to keep one eye peeled up Lincoln to make sure it's safe to proceed in the first place.

Overgrown trees limiting alleyway traffic and safety hazard causing blind spots with intersecting alley in this area and to people walking through.This has been reported to the city and was ignored Driving this way can also cause damage to vehicles..

Where The awesome newly paved Credit Island Lane, meets the actual circled road that goes around Credit Island, There is a 20' patch of gravel that connects the 2 roads. It is not a big deal for cars to go over this, but on the new area that is the Bike Lane the thick gravel is an issue, I actually saw a lady lay her bike down yesterday because of the gravel. She ended up with only scrapes. I am not sure what the intention is for the ground under repair. But I was wondering if the Bike Lane portion of the connection can be swept for now, at least to remove the loose gravel from the Bike Lane portion. Thank You
