1 sq ft pot hole on 40th Ave.

Very bad potholes in alley. Desperately needs filled and resurfaced.

My husband and I have lived in the Northeast Park neighborhood for almost 12+ years, and we are deeply concerned about the severe street flooding that has started happening over the past year and a half. Until last summer—right before Hurricane Helene—we had never experienced flooding like this in our neighborhood. Now, just a typical 30-minute afternoon shower is enough to flood our streets.

Something has clearly changed, and the residents of Northeast Park deserve answers.

Was this caused by overdevelopment? Should the city have allowed the construction of the Aria Apartments off First Street without reassessing infrastructure capacity? Were storm drains or sewer systems redirected from Short Acres into Northeast Park?

The timing of these developments and the onset of repeated flooding are hard to ignore. This is dangerous, damaging, and incredibly frustrating. We have never seen anything like this in all our years here, and it’s clear that our infrastructure cannot handle the current conditions.

We are asking the City of St. Petersburg to take immediate action:

- Investigate what has changed with our stormwater system
- Provide transparency on any sewer or drainage redirection projects
- Hold developers accountable for impacts on surrounding neighborhoods
- Begin urgent improvements to our storm drain systems

Our community deserves better planning, better infrastructure, and better communication from our city. Please address this issue now, before more damage is done.

There are several potholes in the northbound lane of 1st Street, on the southern side of the intersection at 40th Ave NE.

Alley not draining causing extreme flooding.

The alley behind this address, east of 3rd St North needs to be at least graded. At one time I believe millings were put down but that has worn off. There are numerous depressions and at the entrance off of 3rd St there is major erosion that holds water whenever it rains and creates a mosquito haven. This alley gets traffic from the NE Little League parking.

this is the alley in between 42nd Ave Northeast and 41st Ave Northeast in between 1st Street North and Bay Street Northeast. lots of trash has been dumped in the alley large furniture a mattress Etc how do we go about getting this cleaned up? who do I contact?

The alley drain keeps backing up, causing the alley and back yard to flood. This happens every time it rains hard and is backed up within 15 minutes, but can sometimes take a day to finally go down after a storm.

There is a large pothole on the alley directly at the end of my driveway (512 40th Ave NE )that fills with water and is getting worse/larger with all the rain. This is causing my end of driveway to now be flooded.
This is the largest of several potholes on the 500 block alley that need to be taken care of. Please advise! Thank you!
