A good portion of Rte. 3 is riddled with potholes with chunks of rock kicking up from under cars and especially trucks.
  • Taylor Ave Plymouth, Massachusetts - Manomet
I live off of Taylor ave and it has been the worst road to drive on since as far back as I can remember. I have seen plenty of places get repaved multiple times in the span of a few years. I have lived in Plymouth for 14 years and the extent of the work done on Taylor Ave was literally just some tar strips hastily put down on the cracks in the road (this was 4 years ago)
The road NEEDS to be repaved. It has coined the term "Taylor Lake" amongst my neighbours due to the ridiculous flooding that occurs in the giant, bowl-like craters in the road. I don't understand how this hasn't been addressed. Any car that drives over it gets a harsh jostling around and its actually physically uncomfortable at this point.

  • Taylor Avenue Plymouth, MA - Manomet
The dunes that protect all residents of Taylor Ave. from high seas are constantly stepped on because there is no fence on the beach side of the dunes. Most people in the dunes are using it as their bathroom. We have called for years to various representatives to have this problem fixed and to also get proper signage to make it clear you should not enter into the dunes, but nothing has ever been done!
  • 177 Taylor Avenue White Horse Beach, ma - Manomet
Taylor Ave has been on your books now for more than 5 years to be repaved. The road is in a very bad state with the bridge ready to fall in. When is this to be addressed and taken care of?
  • 3-5 Town Whrf Town of Plymouth, MA, 02360, USA - Plymouth
Seawall located between visitor center and Capt John pier. Large accumulation of trash visible to residents and visitors. The Town does a dismal job keeping the Waterfront clean.
  • Wood'S Seafood - Plymouth
Follow up on the trash process, I understand trash pickup is done twice a week in the off season and daily during the summer months, does the trash pick up include more than the trash containers being emptied ? The public parking areas have a lot trash build up between the sidewalks and parking curbs (see my picture) throughout the downtown area (Water street, town pier and Nelson park), not trying to be a pain in the @#$%, just want to understand expectations and requesting clean up that seems to be out of scope but I feel should be included.
  • 90-108 Water St Town of Plymouth, MA, 02360, USA - Plymouth

My wife and I walk the town frequently. We are writing to express our concerns about the cigarette butts that litter ALL the public parking areas near the water. This includes Nelson Park (worst right now), Town Wharf, and the public parking facing the ocean on Water Street. There is much research that Cigarette butts leach organic chemicals and heavy metals into the environment that are toxic to fresh and salt-water fish.

People park in these locations to enjoy the view but they are discarding huge amounts of cigarettes onto the ground.

We realize this is a difficult situation to manage but at a minimum these areas need to be cleaned on a regular basis to avoid them ending up in the ocean and also an eyesore for the town.

The other area of concern is there is a street light that is out on School street. Currently this is the only light on School street and it is not working. This street if very dark at night (we walked home from church last night). I know there is a lot of graffiti in that area and would like to ask for additional lighting on that street for safety and to curb the graffiti.

Thanks so much for helping to address these concerns and making Plymouth a clean, safe and healthy place to live.

  • Sidewalk Issue Acknowledged
10 Clifford Road Plymouth, Massachusetts, 02360 - US Congressional District MA10
The side walk on Clifford Road is unwalkable and dangerous. Causing pedestrians to walk in the middle of the street. The beginning of Clifford Road (off of Warren Street) is unsafe. Numerous residents use Clifford Road for walking and running. I've witnessed residents with baby strollers have to walk in the middle of the street due to the condition of the side walks. This is a serious hazard and the town should repair this sidewalk.
