Privacy fence that encompasses east side of this residence is covering up a commercial enterprise that is operating in a residential area.

A fire pit behind this fence is being hidden and often times has flames 8 foot and higher - this is not wood being burned. Smoke and haze engulf the general area between 8:00 P.M. and sometimes as long as 4:00 A.M. in the morning.

This is a commercial enterprise being covered up in a residential area and there are several individuals that are aware of it outside this residence.

I just wanted to echo all the earlier complaints about the residents at this location - the blue house - as we call it. What I've witnessed for A FEW YEARS NOW, doesn't seem like it is a normal household. I would, and I bet my neighbors would too, like to hear why they can't be evicted or get the mess cleaned up. I lived near a drug dealer many years ago who was shot through his front door. From that experience, I learned that when your neighbor has lots of "company" - many different vehicles coming and going - you should investigate before someone else gets shot. The blue house has lots of "company" too.

The owner of the home died without a will in 2019, I would estimate. Through a series of unfortunate events, it has been occupied by squatters ever since. There has been a court order for them to be evicted. To our understanding, it was posted well over 90 days ago. On July 8 a large group of police officers and the sheriff appeared at the home and four parties were jailed on drug charges. I guess that they could not prove intent, but it is clear to all in the neighborhood what is going on when endless lines of sorry looking vehicles appear daily in front of the house. The home belongs to CoreFirst now and it was supposed to have been auctioned just this week, but that was canceled for this property. Our neighborhood has been dealing with this for literally years. During the initial covid eviction moratoriums (especially the winter) I felt no ill-will. But my patience is worn thin. Are the laws of this county and city completely UNENFORCEABLE??? If that is the case, what a ridiculous city we live in. It is disgraceful. Please, Topeka and Shawnee County, prove this idea wrong. Meanwhile our property values went way up this year. How in the world could any of us, within view of that trashy disaster of a house, sell our home for its current valuation? Seriously.

Always a hot mess. It never stays cleaned up very long. If this just looked like a normal presentable house and was maintained in a proper way, the ownership issue would seem like a smaller matter. How do things keep going on like this? And now, this assortment of people who are "supposed to be" moving out have, to my understanding, pulled another smaller camper into the backyard. I live by the phrase, "This too shall pass." But will it really? And the gaslighting: Does Topeka law enforcement really believe all the stories and excuses? This would probably be considered a "lower middle class" neighborhood, but it didn't used to feel like a slummy neighborhood. Meanwhile, with property taxes continuing to increase, our actual property VALUES (as far as what our homes would REALLY sell for) are decreasing. I've been told that this is not the fault of law enforcement. If this is the case, what needs to change here so that the law works for law abiding, conscientious citizens who work hard and take pride in their neighborhoods? It seems like something needs to change in a fundamental way regarding how our laws are written. It doesn't help at all to know that there are houses like this all over the city. It should not be so.

Some fireworks obsessed, slaphappy jerk blew several chunks and bent the safety rails off the Shunga Pedestrian bridge, posing a fall hazard to any passing toddler and a gash hazard to pedestrians or cyclists not expecting razor-sharp iron to protrude into the walk-path.

I don't know who to report this to but it is a real issue. Two nights ago while standing outside smoking a cigarette with my wife we noticed a drone about 20 feet in the air looking our direction right above my truck in my driveway. once it noticed we seen it, it flew back across the street above the house at 2343 sw high then across the street where it went down into the back yard of the house at 2338 SW high. I previously stated that this address pointed a laser beam of some kind all over my house and around my back yard. I called the cops that night so that I would have a report of it on file because he was using this app to make false accusations. All these reports have been investigated by various parts of the city like code compliance ECT. we have been cleared every time even the fire department has quit stopping by after about 15 times of being told we were burning illegally.
At this point I am fed up with having someone harassing me and my family. and now they are invading my privacy. i even got a privacy fence to hang over my chain link to keep him from shining lasers in my yard. I have a grand daughter that is 2 and don't know if he is trying to get some kind of child @#$% pics or whatever but if this situation is not addressed and taken care of by someone in this city there is going to be a bigger problem. I will not stand for this type of behavior directed at me. and my family. You have all the reports on this site about the slander he has had towards me even though he puts anonymous. Again I expect that this situation be taken care of promptly. thank you.

This tree was supposed to be removed because of encroachment into batting cage at McDonald field and the dropping debris into it. this was reported before.

Cars parking in the front lawn grass. Inoperable gold truck filled with trash on side of house. Small trailer filled with stuff in front grass for days at a time. Numerous vehicles parked on the street. I question the legality of a large RV in VERY rough condition that some "tenants"are living in, on the drive way. Cars with busted windows. Constantly working on vehicles I'm assuming without proper licensure within city limits. Garage door is often left open with trash coming out of it. HUGE eyesore to the community and nothing ever seems to be done by the city to help the honest people in the neighborhood that want it cleaned up. Surely tickets would get/could get expensive instead of just telling them to clean it up where it stays clean for maybe 2 days. Enough is enough and it's been past that point for some time now.
