  • Stormwater Acknowledged
213 Pine Ridge Ct Wake Forest, NC, 27587, USA - Wake Forest
Rainwater pours over retaining wall behind townhomes into my yard. Rainwater was never an issue before townhomes built. Retaining wall was built for townhomes. In towm meetings prior to construction, homeowners in Pineview were told stormwater would be collected and managed to retention and would not impact our property.
  • 1898 S Franklin St Wake Forest NC 27587, United States - Wake County
Here we go again. 4 cars pulled out in front of oncoming traffic to make left hand turn onto Rogers Rd, cutting off traffic going straight through the intersection from the school onto S Franklin.
The turning cars DO NOT have the right of way. There is no green arrow turn signal and I was almost hit going straight across the intersection.
Can WFPD either write tickets or help w with the traffi flow? This is ridiculous.
  • 716 Old Dairy Dr Wake Forest, North Carolina, 27587 - Wake County

We are requesting for inspection and repair of the walkway in front of our residence. This specific area exhibits spalling as the concrete has significantly delaminated, cracked, and chipped away. Since this sidewalk is located near the main entrance of the neighborhood and experiences a significant number of pedestrians, it is a common area that requires urgent attention. Not only does its current state diminish the aesthetic of Holding Village, it is also a safety hazard. Many families frequent this sidewalk during their daily strolls in the neighborhood, during which their children ride their bikes, scooters, and other toy vehicles. Thus, it is pertinent that it be repaired before its hazardous state worsens and causes injury. As we strive to better our community, it is in all of our best interest to repair the spalling concrete so that it can be an area we can all use and enjoy.

We hope to receive a reply from you soon. If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us at 919-818-7817 or gayzelsevilla@gmail.com.

    Thank you.

    Kind regards,

  • 500 Tryst Ln Wake Forest, North Carolina, 27587 - Wake Forest
The new tributary created from storm runoff. This water comes through the woods at the back of properties in Pine Ridge Court and Tryst Lane and now meets with the Richland Creek runoff behind our property. This has eroded the "creek" and dislodged the drain pipe. All this extra water runs into the properties behind and at a lower level than the Sienna Townhome development and not into the catch basin drain across Sienna Drive. That water dumps into the Richland Creek which should also be an environmental concern if the destruction of property is not.
  • 225 Yellow Poplar Ave Wake Forest, NC, 27587, USA - Wake Forest
Walking trail/sidewalk ends abruptly at the top of a deep, steep ravine. Pedestrians and cyclists may not see this condition especially in the dark. A substantial barrier is need to prevent serious injury or death.
Near Crenshaw Trace apartments on Durham Rd.
  • Traffic Control Acknowledged
Stone Monument Dr & Ligon Mill Rd Wake Forest, North Carolina, 27587 - Wake Forest

*Entering Stone Monument from Ligon Mill is unsafe.
Traveling south on Ligon Mill (toward 1A) traffic is reduced from 2 lanes to 1 lane just at the point where a left turn is required for entry to the complex. There is much confusion among drivers as to where this left turn should be made from (the lane which has ended so that through-traffic flow is not slowed, or from the remaining lane). This makes it difficult to anticipate the actions of other drivers.

*Exiting Stone Monument Dr. onto Ligon Mill Rd is unsafe.
Curve of Ligon Mill Rd. (to the south of Stone Monument Dr) does not allow for clear sight from Stone Monument Dr. of oncoming traffic. This is exacerbated by overgrown weeds/shrubs on the roadside as well as excessive speed of traffic traveling north.

  • Erosion/Turbidity Acknowledged
205 Pine Ridge Ct Wake Forest, North Carolina, 27587 - Wake Forest
Picture of townhouse runoff in our front yard.
  • Caveness Farms Ave & Royall Cotton Rd Wake Forest, NC, 27587, USA - Wake Forest
When traveling down Caveness Farms Ave towards Capital Blvd/Hwy 1, there is a left turn into Royall Cotton Rd (near Sams club).
There are no lane markings on Caveness Farms Ave so on many occasions I have seen traffic making the left turn from pretty much anywhere in the road but most often from the right hand side, thus blocking traffic that wishes to continue ahead to Capital Blvd.
The addition of some lane makings here indicating a left turn lane and a straight on lane would vastly improve the traffic flow at this junction.
  • 1524 Heritage Links Dr Wake Forest, NC, 27587, USA - Wake Forest
The sidewalk on Heritage Links Drive an Eppes was "repaired" yesterday.
The job was done sloppily and cheaply. It is now even a bigger hazard than before. It is crumbling and uneven. Definitely unattractive. Please fix this.
  • 400-498 Longbourn Dr Wake Forest, NC, 27587, USA - Wake Forest
Request for town streets department to consider placing new 25mph speed limit sign on Longbourn Dr, eastbound in the 400-block between the new Palisades apartment complex and Grace Church Street. Request due to citizen complaints of speeding traffic cutting through to and from Ligon Mill Road. There are no eastbound speed limit signs posted in the area, and the only westbound sign is on Longbourn Dr after Stone Monument Dr but also not in the same area. Request via Ofc. S. Crossan/WFPD Traffic Unit.
  • 1501 Heritage Links Dr Wake Forest, NC, 27587, USA - Wake Forest
Two areas on the sidewalk are raised making it a hazard.
  • Dr Calvin Jones Hwy & Ligon Mill Rd Wake Forest, NC, 27587, USA - Wake County
I recently purchased a home in The Grove at 98 on Ligon Mill Road. There's a significant issue with the new traffic pattern at the intersection with NC 98, which I believe you may already be aware of. Specifically, left turns are no longer permitted from northbound Ligon Mill Rd. onto westbound NC 98. Instead, drivers must proceed through the intersection, travel a distance, navigate a roundabout, enter an apartment community and then make a right turn to access NC 98. Was that the best we could do? This roundabout design seems unnecessarily complex, unsafe and inconvenient. It requires drivers to wait at multiple lights, travel through a shopping center, and navigate a roundabout, enter an apartment community, simply to make a left turn. I'm unsure what issues this complex and unsafe design seems to be solving. I understand how left turns are statistically less safe, but then you allow other left turns in that vicinity going east and west bound. Is this design is intended to direct traffic towards the shopping center, encourage more traffic its way. Is this phased development? Does it make more sense as a part of a bigger traffic flow plan? I feel like it might create a more unsafe and a frustrating experience for citizens in the long run. I can see traffic from Ligon and Grove 98 wrapped around the roundabout and both lanes just to make a right turn on westbound 98 right now. It seems like it’s going to be another retail drive issue. Could you please advise me on how to contact the traffic engineer who designed this intersection? Additionally, is there a channel available to petition for a change to the traffic flow? Thank you for your time and assistance.
