I am writing to formally request the removal of a growing encampment on Ettie Street that is creating significant safety and health concerns for our neighborhood. There are currently six different types of homeless dwellings in the area, leading to ongoing issues that are negatively impacting residents, businesses, and families.

Our community has experienced the following due to this encampment:
    • Gun violence – Gunshots have been heard, putting residents at risk.
    • Noise disturbances – Loud noise at all hours, disrupting daily life.
    • Open fires – Uncontrolled fires pose a serious fire hazard.
    • Unleashed aggressive animals – Threatening pedestrians and pets.
    • Loss of parking spaces – Vehicles and structures blocking public parking.
    • Unsafe for children – Families no longer feel comfortable letting kids walk or play in the area due to unpredictable behavior and hazardous conditions.

The current situation has made Ettie Street unsafe, and immediate action is needed to restore order and ensure the well-being of our neighborhood. We ask that the city take prompt steps to relocate this encampment and provide appropriate resources to those affected.
