To the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners,

I am a resident of Brookfield at Estancia community in Clearwater. Our roadways in our community are is DESPERATE need of re-pavement, but before that can happen the crumbling underground storm sewers of Brookfield need to be replaced. As I understand it, the storm sewers are the responsibility of the Sunshine Utility of Florida. There seems to be a lot of finger pointing back and forth between the County and the Sunshine Utility of Florida and our development is caught in the middle. No one is doing anything and our roads are deteriorating making it extremely challenging for our residents to get to their own homes. We all pay our taxes and the Sunshine Utility of Florida is constantly raising their rates on us but are not stepping up to perform their service responsibilities. I am respectfully asking you to please get the Sunshine Utility of Florida to repair / replace the storm sewers in front of 3015 Brookfield Lane, 3009 Pepperwood Lane and 3055 Pepperwood Lane. The roadways above these storm sewers are collapsing and causing a dangerous road condition. I am having serious issues navigating my vehicle around these road obstacles and fear that I might get into a car accident and I am concerned that my neighbors and I will get injured. The road conditions get much worse when there is heavy rain. Please determine who's responsibility it is to repair these storm sewers and roads and get them fixed as soon as possible.

Immediately after Hurricane Milton, I was standing in my driveway talking with a neighbor when the driveway pavers gave way, creating a depression. Coincidentally, a Clearwater sewage crew came to inspect the nearby sewer junction. I explained the situation and they ran a camera up the drain line that runs immediately beneath the sunken pavers. They found the drain line had separated at two locations and that the city would repair the damage. I haven’t heard anything since, and an additional location has subsided. I have two dangerous divots in my driveway and I’d like to understand both my and the city responsibility.

There is a very large ditch in front of 2944 Meadow Hill Dr. It looks like it may have been related to the new construction of this property but the ditch is still not filled in. It has been this way for many weeks. The ditch takes up 1/2 of the street forcing cars to move to the opposite side. It is especially complicated by the factor that the new construction has service trucks in the area. If the work is completed, can the street be filled in and repaired?

Broken/removed sidewalk since last July. Please advise with timeline and repair.

While on my walk this morning I observed top soil eroding off the yard at 2772 Brattle into the storm drain. I further observed that this is occurring because there was no natural turf or ground cover in the yard. The yard doesn't seem to have any grass and only a few widely disbursed weeds. I believe this is required by code section 3-1502.H.2 and possibly Division 3-1200 and Division 3-0700. I can provide additional photos of the yard if that would be helpful. I observe further that many of the yards in this neighborhood don't have healthy ground cover, but this is the only one observed by me to also have an erosion problem.

My neighbor 2681 Westchester Dr n 33761 needs his driveway apron repaired after city tore this up Oct 2024 to repair their sewer It's a dangerous hole covered up with grass temporarily Thanks!

Miami gutter in front of home is sinking. Hard to drive into driveway.

I would like to schedule a site visit as I have concerns regarding erosion near the drainage and creek areas on the property I own.
