Where did our bike lane go now it’s just cars. Illegally stopped blocking traffic and causing cyclist to maneuver around them. Daytime parking enforcement supervisor please place a parking enforcement officer, or even better automated enforcement in the form of a camera on this block.

These people have been living on my street since early December in their Rv. They have a lot of trash that they put along side their RV. They have running generator that they use their pick up truck daily to charge. I have also witnessed a drug transaction as well with the people who live in the Rv and another individual. If they are living in there Rv where are the dumping the waste? I have to pay taxes and live by the Rules and they should too!!!

165 Church St New Haven, CT 06510, USA - Town_Green
Several weeks ago, I called 946-6316 after I found exposed ungrounded electrical wires at some location within the downtown area. I did not know if they were live but someone else won't think twice about it before touching it to see for themselves. I missed their call back to me, but they left a voicemail saying they couldn't find it. When I called back, I was told they eventually did find it. That's all I know though. Nothing looks like it's changed downtown. Are the wires live? Will this situation be fixed or will this be left for someone else to discover and get nervous over? I found another one and don't know what to do because I'm not sure if the original issue was even addressed. I'm about to call 911 if I can't get an answer here. I am starting to get the feeling that they didn't find the actual spot I was talking about. Today I will go check and see if this was fixed l, but I wanted to post here also. If someone replies here, it could save the cost of an emergency call I won't have to make, if that dangerous situation is still today out in the open like it was several weeks ago.

The objects in the background of this photo - near where I twisted an ankle this morning - are students. The thing behind them is a school. Nice people asked nicely for two years. That didn't work.

This is also a Public Plaza. New Haven Code of Ordinances "43.1-11 - Standards of accessibility for persons with disabilities.
All public plazas shall conform to applicable laws pertaining to access for persons with disabilities regardless of whether the Building associated with the public plaza is existing or new."

One or more employees of the City of New Haven violated that ordinance by violating Federal law and risking the safety of school children.

I am a resident at 360 State St. and I regularly use my bicycles to get around the town. Currently, I have to store my bike in my apartment as there is a lack of options for secure bike parking. This makes it difficult to carry the bike in the lift every time I have to use it. The apartment does provide an indoor bike storage facility but charges $50/month for a spot. Even thought there are a lot of bike parking racks, they lack a sense of security and I feel there is a genuine risk of bikes being vandalized if I park them for long without a properly secured bike storage spot. I know there are secure bike storage facility at the Union Station for $10/month which sits unused. Is it possible to move them here at the location marked in the image? I would be happy to pay a year's rent in advance if the city is willing to move or make a similar facility available at this location. I also know a lot more people in the building would be interested in renting out a bike storage unit at a lower cost than what the apartment provides. Looking forward to hearing back on this idea. Thanks!
  • Audubon St & Orange St New Haven, CT, 06510, USA - Town_Green
Intersection may require a traffic light for rush hour traffic control. Intersection currently only has a pedestrian crossing and a stop sign on Audubon Street. During rush hour, I have observed impatient drivers on Audubon Street nearly hitting pedestrians (including students from the schools on Audubon street) to get through breaks in traffic on Orange Street. A traffic light for rush hour traffic control would allow for better traffic management here.

Watched four drivers run a red light today at high speed. Traffic calming/street narrowing is needed. The least the city can do is stop making people walking cross so many lanes when drivers would rather kill them then wait for their turn!

A homeless person is living under an awning here and urinating consistently on the sidewalk making the sidewalk unusable. I don't mind homeless sleeping there (as they have been for years, even though it's not ideal) but defecating in a high-traffic area is just unacceptable, unsanitary, and creating a public health hazard. I have to avoid this side of the sidewalk every day while trying to enter my building.

The sidewalks along Audubon Street are in need of repairs. In addition, the small pavers are coming loose and are a tripping hazard. The sidewalks and pavers need to be repaired as soon as possible. Please help!!!
