Notified About

  • Cambridge St & Prospect St Cambridge, MA, 02139, USA - Wellington-Harrington
At the intersection of Prospect Street and Cambridge Street and at the intersection of Broadway and Prospect, it is increasingly common, even expected, that drivers run the red lights. We need police enforcement at these intersections or do what they have done in Providence and install cameras at these intersections. Traffic violators are then summoned. This is a real danger and an urgent need

This intersection is a mess, watched at 5 pm last night as multiple cars "blocked the box" on each light cycle, then dozens of cyclists wove through the stopped cars in every direction. Very dangerous for pedestrians, not to mention the cyclists who took advantage of a dangerous situation. Can we get "do not block the box" signs or perhaps more traffic control?

Loading zone empty but truck blocking bike lane. Is the loading zone the correct size to fit these trucks?
  • Inman Square Hardware - Wellington-Harrington

Request for some bike speed bumps on the bike lane - to walk accross the bike lane when they are coming towards you is not easy...come to find out they don't like to stop - just like the car riders...

    Thanks!

Bike lane often blocked at this location by delivery trucks despite the presence of a loading space next to it. Makes it difficult for bikes and also for cars exiting Oakland St into Cambridge St.

A truck delivering to 7/11 knocked over several flex posts. I also reported it to the non-emergency number.

In front of the firehouse the sidewalk is currently closed to pedestrian traffic and a sign instructing pedestrians to walk in the bike lane. I was trying to walk around and no cyclists stopped at the red light at that corner and nearly struck me. Because these cyclists got stopped at the first red light to cross Cambridge Street, large groups of cyclists all pass here at once. ALL these cyclists then blew the red light together before the firehouse. In fact, I don't think I've ever once seen a cyclist ever stop at this red light at any time since this new intersection has been installed. Also, where this is an active construction zone there should be a police detail present and there was not. If this sidewalk is closed 24/7 then a police detail is required to let pedestrians cross safely. Also in this system why is there only a "Bike Lane Obstruction" option and no general "Sidewalk Obstruction" option? Its like the city only cares about cyclists or something.

Flex posts have been ripped up / thrown aside for this block of Hampshire. This is always frustrating and unsafe, but given someone was literally killed in a crash a few blocks away a week ago, it would be great to prioritize fixes on this stretch e

The current bike/pedestrian traffic lights at the corner of Antrim St and Cambridge St create dangerous conflicts for cyclists and pedestrians. While pedestrians have the cross signal for both Antrim St and Cambridge St, cyclists also have the green light to cross Antrim St. Cyclists were not yielding this morning (many likely didn’t know that the pedestrians have both crosses) and - when I attempted to start across after waiting for a wave of cyclists to come through but not wanting to miss the full light cycle - I was nearly hit by two separate people on e-bikes. If there have not already been crashes, there will be if this is not addressed.

Bike lane blocked even though spaces are available - does it need a proper loading zone?
