Before you reply with the standard this is in Ghetto 19. I believe there are still some funds to provide minimal landscaping service to this poor area of the City. As would be expected, when the water is essentially turned off in this heat the vegetation will die. This photo was taken on May 26th, three months ago. The ivy was like this months before. The ivy is still laying in the same position. Trimming of vines and shrubs was reduced from monthly to quarterly. Who is inspecting this? There are still some limited funds to maintain this area. Or maybe I am wrong and the City has decided to let this area go completely.
Take a drive down Foothill west from Rimpau. You will notice dead trees lining the parkway. If you are not going to water them, remove them.
The City has a code enforcement department. What would they do if one of the residents let their landscape deteriorate to that of Zone 19? Would the City reply to the neighbors that raised the issue by saying what they tell the residents of Ghetto 19? They are letting it return to “it’s native habitat “
Signed a stepchild from Zone 19. -

Trees are dead or dying
Grass is dead
Bushes are dead or dyingAnd when the community brings this information to the city
They claim everything must die because we’re not paying enough taxes ....
Then we find out sprinkler valves or flow restrictors, or something has been stolen .
So now it’s OK for everything to die ?
Why our we allowing our city leaders to manage the public landscape this way.
We need someone gonna actually can get something done rather than make excuses .
Fix the plumbing
In the meantime, Water the Trees, Bushes and Trees.
I don’t care if you have to bring in a water truck once a week make it happen before these 10+ year old trees die. th plant ...
