Delineator issues AcknowledgedSaint Pauls Ave & Skillman Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal Square
Delineators damaged yet again I believe Mike Manzella had committed residents durable delineators at St Paul's
FYI these are being damaged by the construction trucks entering Skillman Ave for the 3075 Kennedy/AC Chevrolet towers project Do they even have approved traffic permits?
In any case, please replace these with more durable bollards that were promised to residents u

Construction Archived35 Cottage St Jersey City, New Jersey, 07306 - Journal SquareThe contractors continue to operate an UNSAFE work site. Hazardous debris that could cause serious injury continues to fall from this tower. Adjacent residential properties have been forcibly turned into de facto hardhat zones. The developer does not own our properties, yet none of us can be outside without fear of being struck by dangerous objects (see photos for huge gaps in the barely adequate safety netting and examples of sharp, heavy tools and debris). This is blatant negligence with huge liability implications. When will the City address this with the seriousness it deserves?

Pedestrian Safety Request AcknowledgedLiberty Ave & Saint Pauls Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal SquareIn the past year a neighbor has opened two requests for a pedestrian safety study at this intersection. Each time they have stated that vehicles do not stop at the stop signs or yield to pedestrians. Each time the city has tried to close the request and said its an enforcement issue. Today for about an hour I watched a cop sit at Liberty and pull people over who didnt stop. The only time he wasnt actively pulling someone over/writing a ticket was when he was turning his car around to go back to his spot. In the hour, he ticketed 5 cars because he spent that much time with each vehicle. Watching this just confirmed that enforcement is not the solution. A real study and redesign is what is needed. The city ended the one way study before they could collect the appropriate data. Same goes for the round about study. After that, they gave us a design on paper that never materialized in real life. We were promised raised pedestrian island. We dont have them. We were promised "no truck" signs, we dont have them. We were promised heavy duty bollards. We dont have them. We were promised wider pedestrian islands, we dont have them. The one at this intersection is about 12 inches wide. A pedestrian simply can not fit in that width. The city was not able to correctly address this road. That should not be the reason the ignore the situation from now on. Our streets are still very dangerous for all users- drivers and pedestrians. We need help and real studies. Stops signs do not work at this intersection as long as traffic is allowed to go eastbound from Tonnelle Circle.

Construction Archived35 Cottage St Jersey City, New Jersey, 07306 - Journal SquareThe workers on this job site are now regularly playing club music through powerful loudspeakers at incredibly high volume for hours throughout the day. It's bad enough that local residents are powerless over the construction noise during allowable work hours (7a to 6p). But this EXTRA noise is unnecessary. It's simply abusive and cannot be justified. People have babies, people have illnesses, people need quiet because they are required to work remotely at home. Why is this so difficult to grasp? Please hold these contractors responsible for their relentlessly bad behavior.

Litter/Debris/Garbage Acknowledged2995 John F Kennedy Blvd Jersey City, New Jersey, 07306 - Journal SquareReported on April 30 (Request ID: 18882176) and closed by Code Compliance Inspector Sandra, who keeps on closing tickets in the neighborhood as having no cause. I have cause to believe Sandra needs a vision test because the EXACT SAME litter is still there, the same way it has been for multiple other tickets Sandra has closed. This is on the Van Winkle SIDE of the property. Please send someone who can actually do their job rather than somebody intent on wasting the time of residents who are trying to make our neighborhood and city a cleaner better place to live!,

Construction on Street/Sidewalk Archived3046 John F Kennedy Blvd Jersey City NJ 07306, United States - Journal SquareEvery weekday between 3 o’clock and 330 the charter school golden door closes Saint Paul’s Avenue in the eastbound lane. Despite the fact that the school has Huron Street closed for school drop off and pick up they have started using Saint Paul’s Avenue again and closing it down. We had this issue last year where they were placing huge amounts of barriers in the roadway, creating a dangerous environment. They are closing the street for JFK to 139. Cars are forced to drive into ongoing traffic or block the intersection at jfk. Where is the safety officer for this school? My understanding is that it is their duty ensure Saint Paul's stays open

Construction Acknowledged9 Homestead Pl Jersey City, New Jersey, 07306 - Journal SquareFor the last 3 days (4/16/25 to 4/18/25), the construction crew building at 9 Homestead Place in jersey city have started pile driving at 8am - barely taking breaks between cycles all day. They have continued pile-driving until 5:50pm. Jersey City has a noise ordinance for pile driving which allows it from 8:30am until 5pm. Cutting corners by starting pile driving early and stopping it late is doing irreparable harm to the use and enjoyment of hundreds of us residents that live in the direct area. It’s unacceptable. It’s bad enough we have to listen to it all day but the supervisor needs to be reported for not adhering to the noise ordinance. Further, if they are cutting areas with the law in this respect then what other corners are they cutting. This is severely affecting those of us who work from home and have no other place or office to travel to in order to escape the noise. Please ensure the supervisor(s) are spoken with so that they only work within the proper timeframes and also encourage breaks between cycles so residents can have some semblance of peace during the day. I will be documenting them on video going forward as evidence. Thank you.

Construction ArchivedJournal Square Jersey City, New Jersey - Journal SquareThere is No Train Service from Journal Square to grove street. Construction is the reason, hahaha.
Take the shuttle bus from JS to grove.
Well the Port Authority and its Brilliant planning brings TWO bus loads of people to grove street and then has NO trains into the city waiting. The people have to wait 36 minutes for the next train to 33rd street or World Trade. This is either Incompetency or Sadistic.
Call the PA and complain vigorously. The platform at grove is PACKED and we still have to wait another 20 minutes for a train.
Thank you Steve Fulop for your leadership on this issue. You are a city planner and you Allowed this Horse @#$% to happen.
I can only imagine what kind of a governor you would be! Take the money and run. -
Litter/Debris/Garbage Archived2975 John F Kennedy Blvd Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal SquareI previously reported these tires and traffic cone sitting here on Feb 8 and was told that DPW was notified and would pick up the litter. It’s now been over a month since the complaint was closed and the tires and cone are still here. They have been here since at least the beginning of January and it is absurd that it should take this long to resolve this issue.
