Building Violation Archived802 Stewart Ave Glen Burnie, Maryland, 21061 - Glen BurnieThis is a code violation. I don’t know why it keeps getting closed. It is a danger to the neighbors due to damage, decay, and structural instability. It also sheds ASBESTOS shingles every time more wood rots off the house. The roof is completely caved in at the back of the house. Does this structure need to collapse completely for the county to do something? Ya'll can keep closing tickets and I'll keep making noise until something is done to fix it.

Drainage Maintenance ArchivedNew Jersey Ave Ne Glen Burnie, Maryland, 21060 - Glen BurnieA bit complicated....This location at New Jersey Ave NE and Kent Rd. is the Furnace Creek Stream Restoration Project BMP area. The area is on regular mowing by the county and that has been great. I have witnessed a person who is not a county worker going around the edge of this county stormwater management facility and cutting large amounts of branches off the trees that surround it. Naturally the trees block the view of the area in the summer because they are deciduous. I am unsure why he is cutting county owned property down. He is making large piles of sticks and dried brush that are a fire accident waiting to happen. These piles go all the way around the fenced area and need to be removed. I will also mention, in case anyone cares, that there is a homeless encampment a bit further back out of view in the Stormwater Management Facility area that is marked "no pedestrians, etc." The encampment has been there since this winter.

Rodents (Mice/Rats) Archived802 Stewart Ave Glen Burnie, Maryland, 21061 - Glen Burnie
802 Stewart Ave, Glen Burnie MD 21061 is an abandoned property. Asbestos tiles are falling off the home. There are rats and rodents breeding in the unkempt yard / lawn. There is a large hole in the side and back of the home. Power lines have fallen off this property and landed in others' yards.
This home has been reported multiple times to the county, and the county refuses to take any action.
On 4/29/25, a county worker whose sole job it to "make them cut the grass" visited the property. Multiple neighbors approached to complain about the house. He brushed everyone off, couldn't even give guidance on who to contact.
This property will cause someone harm one day. How do we get this issue addressed?

Open Burning Acknowledged8006 Solley Rd Glen Burnie, MD, 21060, USA - Glen BurnieAfter a long battle trying to get help with a homeowner burning day and night 7 days a week. Last year 10/4/24 this was a report and a long run around one I wasn't given up one they also issued a junk violation #17638534 reported. The county put a stop to the burning #17643595 the junk violation was some what clean and canopy's to hide the dozens of lawnmowers and items removed by county orders. In the mean time both canopy's have blown over leaving the junk exposed again. This homeowner Robert Higgs has no wood in his yard to burn. Everything in his shed and yard is all gas items, chemical or burning rubber it isn't burning wood or his home trash. This happens every spring when it is so bad you can't open your windows or sit outside. Having asthma this causes me to stay inside. Today the fire started again the first time after the county shut him down last year the smoke was so black blowing into Solley Road it was hard to see the road. I called the fire department they showed and made him put it out. 4 hours later as it was becoming dark he started up again. Someone need to check into what chemicals he's burning when this causes you to have a sore throat that isn't normal. It's whatever he does in that shed as soon as the sawing and banging stops the fire starts. He stopped after the county put a stop to this hoping it was finally behind us after years of dealing with this and the county shutting him down. Having a picnic with my family on mother's day and having to take it inside because of one homeowner possibly burning something hazardous. I was told last year to call the fire department every time he lights up. I'm sure they have emergency and don't need to be showing up telling him to put it out. Open burning requires a permit that he doesn't have. Maybe the only solution until I can get relief is to notify the county team I worked with last year they are listed below.
