BRHC refuses to do anything about the tremendous amount of water that is dumped into my pond and backyard after it rains. The construction of new buildings and parking lots started several years ago and so did this problem. "The pond has now become the catch basin for the rain water runoff" -with the rain comes logs, branches, trash and MUD. (quote from the EPA) My fish are losing room to live and they swim in red muddy water.The hospital is uphill from my house. My land in the town of Rutherford College butts up to Valdese land. The BRHC is on this property in the town of Valdese. BRHC dug out my pond a year ago but they did not fix the problem. All the water is channeled into a gully that empties into my backyard. This was not a problem until they took paradise and put in a parking lot! The natural springs have been covered with mud that fed into the pond. Help Please! I am a teacher and cannot afford to pay for this problem to be fixed, single and I am not able to continue to clean up this mess over and over again.
