    The stairwell at the community center on Ardmore has been a mess for many years as it appears to be a hang out spot for people to drink alcohol, eat takeout, break bottles and urinate. Now there is spray paint all over the place in addition to the trash.

    The fire hydrant in front of 736 Gould obstructs free passage of pedestrians while on the sidewalk. Individuals and mothers pushing baby stollers are forced off the sidewalk and into the street off a high curb presenting danger to pedestrian safety. I recently witnessed a handicapped person attempting to pass through this narrow area of the sidewalk without hitting the fire hydrant or falling off the sidewalk entirely - they were unable to do so and had to go back the direction they came from. This fire hydrant should be upgraded to a smaller profile fixture and/or moved to an area that allows free passage of pedestrians. The bumper posts are also part of this problem that obstructs the sidewalk for pedestrians. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE and should be addressed immediately.
