Day is a one way street with minimal traffic. Does this intersection really need a stop light? Placing lights in unnecessary places is but one of the reasons that road rage in this city is so high. This intersection is one place where cross traffic can cross without a light. Please consider removing the light and inserting a stop sign on Day instead.

can we get the police to do something about the group of drug dealers who hang on this corner all day long? I have been working in new haven for 2 months now and see them selling drugs there every day. I have seen a police car once in the past 10 weeks drive through and sit at the corner for 15 mins before leaving.

From the NHPD report, 3/16/10:

Two people were robbed on their front porch by an armed cyclist. At 9:28 p.m. on Monday, a man in a black ski mask on a blue and gold mountain bike rolled up on a porch at 167 Edgewood Ave. He asked the two people sitting on the porch for drugs. When they said no, he pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun, pointed it at the victims and said, “Give me what you got.” The two people handed over a purple iPod, a black Sidekick cell phone, and $1.50 in change. The robber rode off west on Edgewood.

Trucks are using Kensignton Playground to access scrap metal from the Antillean Manor demolition. According to neighbors, this is going on regularly. There are tire tracks in the ground to support this.

On sunday night a dog was hit by a car due to the lack of street light present on the street. Wants to know if it is possible for more street lights can be installed or can the bulbs on the street be changed so that the street has more lighting

DUX corner store sweeps their trash off the sidewalk into the street and drain every morning.

Would you please talk to the owner about the practice. 6 soda cans were swept into the drain this AM and there is a public garbage can right in front of of their location.
