Belvidere

The stop light getting on to I-90 from Genoa Road in the morning is set correctly. The light in the late afternoon / early evening needs to be adjusted. The wait time for it to change is very long.

Located behind the Rosa Martinez Tax Service, 121 N. State St., in Belvidere is this full dumpster. Some feet away, in the neighboring city municipal parking lot is more garbage packed into a corner.

A walk down the alley between Lori's Little Critters, 109 N. State St., and the building at 105 N. State Street which houses the Rockford Register Star's Boone County Bureau, apartments and a meeting space, will draw your attention to graffiti on the side of both brick buildings.

There is graffiti underneath the N. Appleton Rd bridge along the pedestrian path that goes underneath the bridge between Belvidere Park and Spencer Park.

Cars turning left or right from either the North or South direction on Belvidere Road are passed by other cars on the left. This is a very dangerous situation for the turning cars especially during high volume traffic times of people going to and from I-90 entrance. I have experienced semi tractors passing on the left. I have called the police department regarding this issue, and was told that it is not illegal to pass there on the left. Still very dangerous because the road was not designed to deal with the current volume of traffic.

On several occasions, pickup truck pull up, back up the drive way and freshly killed pigs of various sizes are dropped off and the skinning and butchering of these animals is commensed right out in the open. Several times they have hung them from a tree in the yard.
