Massive Natick Issue Archived7 Pond St Natick, Massachusetts - Natick
Natick residents will continue, to post here, regarding this critical issue, until action is taken. Please understand this will not go away until action is taken -
Cars are still allowed to turn left from Pond Street onto Rt. 27 North. It is extremely dangerous and brutal to have to drive through.
This should be a right turn only option. We have submitted inquiries before but you never seem to help, always deferring elsewhere.
Who is the right group or person (s) to contact regarding this important inquiry? Please let me know.
And again, we will continue contacting you folks regarding this, until action is taken. It takes up our time, but it also takes up your time....so you might as well assist your fellow Natick residents.
Thank you in advance.
Respectfully,
Concerned Natick Residents

Other Archived28 Stratford Rd Natick, Massachusetts - NatickWhat is the rule for parking on the street? 28 Stratford parks several cars on the street and I'm concerned about how the plows will do their job. Ongoing issue, up to 6 cars at a time on the street and mechanic work being done in driveway and on street.

Crosswalk Safety Archived1 North Main Street Natick, Massachusetts - NatickThe town has put up signs in crosswalks saying the fine is $200 for failure to yield, but there is no enforcement and many drivers do not stop even when pedestrians are in the crosswalks. This morning I was crossing N Main at North with southbound traffic stopped and a van from the Middlesex County Courts Community Service program (license M518) was traveling northbound at a rate of speed the RMV would not classify as reasonable and proper. He did slam on his brakes to let me cross, but as soon as I was clear he stomped on the gas and sped off while 2 women were crossing the southbound side about to enter the northbound side. At the same intersection last week, a van from JECORP stopped and let me cross N Main, but he drove in front of me while crossing North. If he has a dent in the side I will neither confirm nor deny that I swung the book I was carrying. The crosswalks are clearly marked, there are signs warning of penalties, and there are people crossing at each one trying to get to the commuter rail station; but there is no enforcement and therefore no credible threat by these signs. Writing a couple of tickets once in a while might make drivers think twice (or maybe even once) about how to treat pedestrians in a crosswalk.

Sidewalk Repair Archived25 Oxford Rd Natick, Massachusetts - NatickOxford doesn't have clearly defined sidewalks. Currently asphalt that has been poured from roadway into the yards of the homeowners which is dangerous for pedestrians. Children walk this undefined path (most in the morning darkness) to the buses and the road is highly traveled by speeding cars. The lack of clearly defined sidewalks is a concern as drivers mistake the asphalt for roadway. Please provide curbs or a grass median lining our roads to help define pedestrian vs car paths. Also, please consider putting a street lamp on the pole by the aqua duct as it is very dark and unlit for kids. It is treacherous when there is ice and no clear sidewalk and then no light to see the condition of this area.

Other Archived152-154 Oak Street Natick, Massachusetts - NatickTraffic coming southbound on Oak Street needs better signage of speed limit - it is an industrial area just before this and cars go 45+ and then enter a dense residential area. Several cars (at least 10 since this winter) have gotten flat tires in front of our house (152 Oak) because they take the turn too fast and hit the curb. My father was almost hit on Wednesday and we have a 17-month old daughter and have to walk on the sidewalk right there to get to our cars. Please do something before someone is seriously hurt!
