  • 6802-6900 Old Madison Pike Nw Huntsville, AL 35806, USA - Huntsville
We need both a Joe's Crab Shack, Dave & Buster's and Cheesecake Factory here. There's lots of empty space near Sports Authority and putting it near Bridgestreet would be great to bring lots of people to the shopping center. All 3 are hugely popular and would be a great for the city revenue and being just off the interstate would bring in more visitors that may end up shopping as well at Bridgestreet. I'm shocked we haven't tried to get them to Huntsville already!!
  • 108-116 Castle Dr Madison, AL 35758, USA - US Congressional District AL5
Castle Drive is zoned City of Huntsville in many parts, yet its sidewalks are broken (where they exist), lighting is almost non-existent, and the road is full of cracks and potholes. Many local businesses operate on Castle Drive. Please consider giving it some attention in these areas.

  • Behind 1200 Towne Creek Place Northwest Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville
The sidewalk connecting Indian Creek Greenway and the MidTowne on the Park neighborhood is grown over with surrounding weeds. I'm curious who is responsible for this area- the city or the HOA?
  • 6722-6764 Old Madison Pike Nw Huntsville, AL 35806, USA - Huntsville
Huntsville does not have a Macys department store. Bridge street is an up-scale shopping area well located with good access. Macys woudl help Huntsville and Bridge Street.
  • 212 Main Street Madison, Alabama - Madison

Beautiful downtown Madison is a jewel. There are many lovely storefronts and businesses that are a tribute to native, long time and new residents of the wonderful community. Sadly there are several buildings, all owned by the same family, that have varying degrees of neglect and deterioration and some of those issues affect the potential health and safety of others.

The old hardware store buildings on the east end of Main Street, adjacent to the owner's restaurant, Bandito Burrito, and the old Humphrey Hughes Drug Store building a few store fronts away, also on Main Street, and the pitiful old metal buildings behind Main Street and on Martin Street have far too long been an eyesore and an insult to the Madison community.

Even with all the Phase I addition of new store front buildings, new parking, new landscaping, new lighting, etc and the long awaited Phase II having already begun, the old buildings remain an eyesore, a safety hazard, and frankly inexplicable.

When asked about it months ago, one of the owner's stated: "IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!"

I take exception...the obvious decline of a precious and irreplaceable downtown main street IS the business of all who live and work in Madison.

I would hope that public pressure can be brought to FORCE the City of Madison Mayor, City Council, City Planning, City Zoning, etc leaders will step up and make the Anderson family repair these buildings to improve safety, restore them to reasonable appearance and maintain them on an ongoing basis or force them to sell the properties or take them by legal action.

It simply must be addressed NOW!

If you agree, please contact the City of Madison and demand they do their job!

Speed bumps have been a nice addition to Midtowne on the Park and has helped deterred some speeding. Unfortunately, drivers can avoid speed bumps on Pegasus Drive and Midtowne Lane by squeezing between the bump and the curb.

This has created a risk for homeowners checking their mailboxes as cars come close to the curb at fast speeds. Also, the curb next to the speed bumps are getting damaged by cars colliding with the curb while driving at a fast speed to avoid the bump.

Drivers trying to avoid the speed bumps also create traffic confusion as it sometimes appear they are trying to pull over to stop to park, tricking drivers behind them who may start to drive around them.

Is there anything that can be done to modify our speed bumps that will prevent drivers from driving around them on the curb side?

    Thank you,
    Concerned Resident

The crosswalk on Madison Pike at Slaughter Rd is missing and needs to be replaced.

Following a recent repaving project on Slaughter, the crosswalk had to be removed but was never replaced. Crossing the street is dangerous enough without it. Can you re add the crosswalk?

This appears to be within Hsv City limits.
