    Dear Gilbert Traffic Engineering Department,

    I am writing to report a serious and ongoing public safety concern regarding excessive speeding on South Ranch House Parkway within the Power Ranch community.

    Numerous drivers routinely exceed the posted 30 MPH speed limit, with speeds at times reaching 50+ MPH. This behavior creates a significant hazard, especially given the presence of two elementary schools along this road. Motorists often disregard the 15 MPH portable school zone signs during active hours.

    Specific details of the concern:

    Location: South Ranch House Parkway, from S Ranch House Pkwy and E Haven Crest on the south side of Power Ranch, all the way through to S Ranch House Pkwy and S Fenceline Pkwy.

    Time of Incidents: The problem is most severe during peak hours:

    Mornings: 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM

    Afternoons: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

    Evenings/Night: Occasional incidents continue into the night.

    Safety Risk: My primary concern is the safety of morning bicyclists and children crossing the street before the crossing guards arrive.

    Requested Action: I request that the Town investigate this issue. Specific actions I believe would be effective include:

    Posting speed-monitoring trailers on both the north and south ends of the affected area to collect accurate speeding data.

    Increased police presence for a period of time to assist with immediate enforcement.

    Evaluating the data to consider the potential installation of permanent speed cameras (two on the south end, two on the north end) to enforce traffic laws consistently.

    I understand there is an established process for addressing these concerns and believe that data collection and subsequent enforcement are necessary steps to ensure the safety of our neighborhood.

    This RV comes frequently and parks on Marlene/Heron for days at a time.  It used to park on Beebe before moving to this location.  This has been going on for several months.  Per your Code of Ordinances, it says RVs can park up to 48 hours for loading
    and unloading purposes.

    Sewers need to be cleaned. Right where the crosswalk is for kids to safely walk/bike to school, water floods from curb to 6 feet out every time it rains. Kids get feet wet. This morning there was probably 2-3 inches of standing water stretching entire length of intersection
